Good for the humor factor, bad because you leave things totally in her court. You're not asking her to marry you, you're letting her go on a date with you. Don't ask, tell, hey you should go out with me. Although what you did worked fine for the situation, if you were to actually say that out loud it wouldn't be as powerful as saying "Hey, lets go out"dude156 said:

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

1.Over a game of hang man. It was a yes.
2. Went to the mall early, went to the greeting card store, picked out a congratulations card. Wrote a little note, asked her out in it. Told the clerk to hold on to it for me, gave her some instructions. Later on, brought the girl in there, told her to go ask teh clerk for something, and the clerk gave her the card. It was a yes.
3. ANother card, invited the girl to my house. Put a folded piece of paper in the air hockey table, so when I scored she'd have to reach for it. She ignored the paper so I had to hand it to her. It said
"Bad News: You just got scored on.
Good news: Look under the table."
Underneath the table I taped the card, asking her out. It was a yes.
4. Same girl as #3. Just burnt a CD, some sweet songs, some funny songs (Hot Stuff - Donna Summers, got a good laugh) and the last song was DJ Otzi's version of Hey Baby (Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy heyy baby, i wanna knooooooow, would you be my girl) and played it. As soon as she listened to it she smiled, and said yes.
I pride myself on being creative, even though #4 was kind of lazy.
