"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I was wondering about the history of this website and discussion forum. How did it come to be? Did it spring forth from another forum? Who were the original posters? Where are the first posts? Is there anywhere I can learn the history of the website and the concept that led to the start of the forum.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Pook is arguably the most famous poster of the site due to his great posts basically.

Another old time reg with a really great topic was named Diesel.

Thats pretty much all I know but you can check their post histories for some good information.

haha! I remember the tan site! I first looked at this site at the end of 2001, but I was too chicken to post anything until 2003. Since then, it's been sparse for my post output, but what a great resource it has been. Now it's overloaded! I feel like I should be sitting on a front porch in a rocking chair or something....

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

God, I'm trying to remember what chick-site started the first forum war. I remember it involved Sir_Chance-A-Lot, Trickynick, and even brought out Pook to comment quite a few times.

Was that part of the first troll thing? Linky don't worky so my memory jog isn't working. Maybe it just needs a nicotine kick-start.

I think it's funny that the first post is titled "I'm under 21 and my penis is broken"

Yeah, it was definately girlproblems.com. They hated us, we hated them. Some posters from here (me included) went over there to try and save a few AFCs. I don't think it worked though :)

I've heard about this war between this site and girlproblems. Wish I was there to see it.:D

i was here, and the gp.com stuff was not alot to write home about.
the BIG FLAME was with the swirl girls, where i even had to go over there and register for an account to go defend the honor of some members here.
ask sirchancalot for further details.

Sounded like a fun time to be honest. If they start another war, I'd be here.

Actually now that Penkitten mentioned it, it was badgirlswirl.com, I think the GP.com came after diesel went to invade their territory with his unique way of giving advice. Albeit there could have been two gp.com incidents. I think Deep Dish went over to the forum that replaced gp.com something like datingissues/datingproblems.net or something. I was a guilty party over there too Desinova, so your not alone :D.

Chance reamed them out daily for a while overthere. That war was always a fun read IMO.

GP.com went to hell, moved to a different address and died.
