I was wondering about the history of this website and discussion forum. How did it come to be? Did it spring forth from another forum? Who were the original posters? Where are the first posts? Is there anywhere I can learn the history of the website and the concept that led to the start of the forum.

Pook is arguably the most famous poster of the site due to his great posts basically.

Another old time reg with a really great topic was named Diesel.

Thats pretty much all I know but you can check their post histories for some good information.

haha! I remember the tan site! I first looked at this site at the end of 2001, but I was too chicken to post anything until 2003. Since then, it's been sparse for my post output, but what a great resource it has been. Now it's overloaded! I feel like I should be sitting on a front porch in a rocking chair or something....

i was here, and the gp.com stuff was not alot to write home about.
the BIG FLAME was with the swirl girls, where i even had to go over there and register for an account to go defend the honor of some members here.

Actually now that Penkitten mentioned it, it was badgirlswirl.com, I think the GP.com came after diesel went to invade their territory with his unique way of giving advice. Albeit there could have been two gp.com incidents. I think Deep Dish went over to the forum that replaced gp.com something like datingissues/datingproblems.net or something. I was a guilty party over there too Desinova, so your not alone .

Chance reamed them out daily for a while overthere. That war was always a fun read IMO.

GP.com went to hell, moved to a different address and died.
