Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

group orgy???

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I'm sure Gio and I will have a problem with THAT idea...

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

So you are claiming that the qualities I described are not the traits of a "real DJ"?

They might be to some, but a women defining a don juan is like a guy telling a chick how to act during that time of the month.

A "real DJ" is mature. He's not defensive, can take constructive criticism like a man instead of like a boy. He is confident but he doesn't come across as being egotistical...he doesn't NEED to. He doesn't need to make himself look like a better person by insulting and demeaning others.

You, Eternal, are not a "real DJ", not by a long shot.

my thoughts exactly.

hey Eternal, you're a real G. Way to bring your girl onto this site.

Ouch cheap shot.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

What does me showing my girl this site have anything to do with me being a "DJ" or not? You jealous or something?

why should I be? if anything I'd be happy for you.

I don't really see how you can be a challenge when she knows every game you play. If you ever have a problem with her, where are you going to turn to for advice? The moderator's corner? yeah, good luck with that.

if you can't see your own stupidity, you must be blind. no offense.

exactly, they are good points.

why didn't anybody say that when it was Wyldfire who made them?

don't complain when a woman can define what being a real DJ is better than the boys who moderate a site that claims to teach men how to get women. Just because she's right is no reason for you all to get so pissy.

Woman...it's a frikkin INTERNET FORUM. Go away and get a life.

You need a hobby other than engaging in senseless drama with moderators on an Internet Forum. This isn't Auschwitz...no one is forcing you to be here against your will. No one is oppressing you. If you don't like it here, TURN THE COMPUTER OFF. Go shopping or whatever you chicks do to make yourselves feel better.

If you feel you're being discriminated against that bad, then LEAVE. Take your bible posts with you...I don't care. They're mediocre at best anyway.

No wonder you talk about COMPROMISE so much when you talk about relationships.

What I wonder, though, is what HE gets in return for agreeing to put up with your b!tchy sense of entitlement and your constant whining and drama-starting.

There, I took my shots. Don't bother returning fire, I won't care. :p

Goddam, this thread is still going?

Okay people, I have a solution to this entire problem. Wyldfire get a faster internet connection. That way she won't be complaining about all the time she wasted on a thread because of her connection speed.

Problem fixed, everybody's happy :) :) :) :)

I'm not trying to start anything but I give ET his props for showing his girl the site. That shows you how open and good their relationship is.

P.S ET has been here for years I don't think he needs any advice.

he was asking for advice just a few months ago, which is a short amount of time considering "ET" has been here for years.

it's fine, though. since she's a girl maybe there will be somebody here more emotional and dramatic than he is.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
