IMO, you don't. Then nothing else matters.

In my case as I explained, it cost me the best years of my life. So, I tell others that single mommies are not worth your time and can damage one deeply. If you want one for a FB, that's fine. The key is not to become emotionally attached or you'll be spending your weekends at Chucky Cheese and changing diapers in the park on your time off. Oh, and have fun being second in her life, dealing with a fvcked up baby daddy who just got out of prison while you save every spare dime for college tuition.

Well, that's a good question. I could do it without much problem but I don't.

I do think most guys could as women in general have been taught that it's ok to get with older men. If they have money and status, then they'll go much older and not think twice about it.

Yes, feel free to "date" a girl with kids, but don't get serious with her. Don't fall into the trap of becoming her beta provider. If you have the knowledge on how things work, you can avoid that. It's the guys that have no clue that get hooked into that scheme.

Or, like 5string says, avoid them completely. Personally, I avoid them completely. I don't want the drama attached, even for something not serious. But, other guys could have some fun there as long as you don't take these women seriously.

Drdee is right. These women however are looking for a serious relationship to cash in and be taken care of. Be careful.

I would date a single mom given the right set of circumstances. Ex wife of a former millionaire with a pricy pad of her own. I imagine I could wear that boot for a few months. ProvWon't have to pay for that much, likely go to some classy parties & make some connections, maybe a few parting gifts before the whole thing reaches it's conclusion. Seems like a good risk vs. reward situation to me.

This is another one of those SS myths that seem to perpetuate with each new influx of dudes.

I've dated single moms. Yeah, you get a few who are nuts and want each interaction to be about their kids. Those are the bad ones that you just smash and dash.

But I've dated a few that were quite good about not even letting me meet her kids. They understand that it's NOT your responsibility and don't want every interaction to be about the kids. Basically, once the kids are a bit older, then the mom wants to have her own life back. Then it's good. I casually dated one PR chick for 2 years with 2 kids and not once did I even meet her kids. It was awesome and she was very cool

I don't mind dating the single moms who don't have their kids full time. They can't be incredibly clingy to you because they have responsibilities, but they have time that they can spend with you CHILD-FREE.

The women who have their children full time are problematic. They don't have any time for you, and their children are their priority. In other words, they can slip you into their schedule when the grandparents are feeling energetic enough to take the kids for the evening which is at most, once a week. They're okay for an occasional lay, but not much good for anything else.

yes even the widows. i tried it and it blew up in my face big time! lesson learned. look at it this way, it's hard enough competing with some baby daddy who's alive and isn't in the pic....now try competing with a guy whos dead and shes still in love with, combined with mourning over him. trust me, everything you do or dont do will remind her of the dead guy, she will always compare him to you and you will always lose because shes emotionally connected to him in a different way then if he was alive and "making her life hell". she will never get over the dead guy.....ever.........................EVER.
