Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
I agree with u. I used to be such a challenge with her because I had so much going on with my life...and a good friends group to hang out with. I really didn't care one way or the other, but lately since i have developed feelings for her i'm just not the same. Now I have lost a lot of friends and I don't have many people to get together with.Ace_McGregor said:Just use the tips from this site, and you'll slowly raise her IL if she is genuinely interested. Some of the "grey area" girls are interested in you, but they think they can have you with out any kind of fight (probably b/c you have shown too much interest in the past). This isn't any fun to have a guy that's not a challenge - so they put you on the back burner, and look for guys that are a challenge. Challenge = excitement. Get control back of the situation and make her think that YOU'RE the one doing the choosing.
Cool thx. I waited over an hour to reply...i guess that's not too bad. I actually wasn't gonna respond at all but decided to send back a token answer after i wasn't busy.Shezz said:The best way to handle a text message from a chick, and not just one like the example given but ANY text message is to simply ignore it. Don't respond. It drives them nuts.
Chicks LOVE when guys give them attention, and lets make no mistake about this - YOUR NOT THE ONLY GUY SHE'S TEXTING.
She's probably got 5 or 6 (more if shes really hot) guys texting her and calling her, trying to get her to go out for dinner, trying to get her to meet up, fawning over her, just basically being AFC and making her out to be a god damn princess...don't get suckered in.
In my AFC days, my ex-gf would always tell me that when she used to text guys, the ones that didn't respond to her, or the ones that did respond but with very little effort were the ones that raised her interest. It shows that you have better things to do. And the worst thing of all that you can do? Respond straight away. Thats a big no no.
Wait maybe 5-6 hours later and then respond, or even let it marinate, wait until she texts you again, showing more interest in you, then text her back - when she again texts you, rinse and repeat. Always maintain the upper hand, after a few days of this, call her up out of the blue one night and set up a meet.

"Please give me attention!" ?
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Actually I take back my last post that was directed at you, I've been posting rather foul things lately, don't take offense... It's that time of the month :flowers:There are more important things when dealing with women than to stress over a text conversation.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
