Seeing as how the rules of the forum specifically state that threads of a political and/or racist manner are not allowed, and also seeing that the owner of the site rarely locks down any threads himself, just what are you saying is cowardly? Obviously you aren't calling him cowardly since he didn't actually close any threads himself, but no intelligent person would call the people whose jobs it is to enforce the rules cowardly simply for abiding by the terms of the forum that everyone agreed to by registering a username.

After all, isn't that like calling a police officer a coward because he pulled you over when you were speeding? Why stop there? You may as well call the doctor who washes his hands before performing your vasectomy a coward too. After all, it's quite cowardly to follow these "rules" and "regulations"... isn't it?

It always turns into a fight! ALWAYS..... 100% of the time. If people were mature enough to talk about sh*t w/o flaming maybe it would work, but that sadly isn't the case.

Besides, those are the only threads that ever get attention. Someone could be dying to get advice and no one would answer but something about race, or politics come up and BAM!! 50 posts in 30 minutes.

However, it's not my site so that's not my call. In all fairness though, this site could not exist without members, so we should get some say in what should and should not be open for discussion.

If we put those types of issues up for a vote, I think the auto-censoring would be the first to go. (Like people really don't know what we're saying when we see "f'uck" or "pvssy".)

Your mistake is thinking this is a democracy in this case. This is still a privately owned website where the person shelling out the cash for the runnings and operation calls all the shots. We could vote till the cows came home but it's really up to him to say what stays and what goes. Although the site "needs" members, i suppose, there's little any of us could do besides petition him and hope he hears us and agrees with our point(s) (which I don't see happening) or boycott the site (which is equally unlikely) until the message is heard. Sorry but that's the reality of the situation. There's one man's ruling and little any of us can do to change things around here.
