How do you respond?
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
I tell her to change the oil in my car.PeterCrouch said:How do you respond?
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

 Yeah.. I'm sure she's just checking if your an AFC.CompleteControl said:She may be cool. You may have expressed too high a level of interest before she was feeling enough attraction to you.
It is just a test. She says "she is challenge" translates to:
"If you are an AFC don't bother because you are just going to bug me all the time until I have to break your heart".
In a humorous tone:
"Are you really that much of a pain in the ass to get to know better (pause but don't let her answer) cause if you are - I am a busy guy and this isn't going to work out." (pause but don't let her answer)
inquisitive and sort of confused/serious:
"or are you feeling that you really want us to get to know each other but you are a little nervous to just let this happen?"
Of course she isn't literally checking to see if you are an AFC or DJ. This was shorthand. (see below for explanation)Bvbidd said::yawn: Yeah.. I'm sure she's just checking if your an AFC.
She's not thinking in her head if your a ****ing AFC or DJ or not.
I am not brainwashed - I haven't even read 1% of the stuff on this site. I have actual real life experience with real women.. stop getting brain-washed by this place..thinking women have read all this. None have.
Beautiful young women constantly have men hitting on them and asking them out. Many men (I called them AFC for short) call them constantly, buy them flowers, drinks, dinner and are always available to and desperately want to spend time with them. These men fail to realize that this behavior has caused her to lose any attraction that there may have been in the first place. The girl is then left in the unenviable position of having to hurt them by telling them she is not interested or blowing them off until they get the hint. She wants to avoid this because it makes her feel bad. With many highly desirable women this has happened over and over and over and she hates it..Checking if you have confidence.. yeah she may do THAT.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
Great answer! :cheer:Jackman said:You respond with, " So am I."

continue doing whatever it was you were doing when she interrupted you.
Like it.Jackman said:You respond with, " So am I."
Yes, she does go off top prove how much of a challenge she is to me. While I stay right where I am, not chasing her and putting her up on a pedestal.Jackman said:...she then walks away to prove she's a challenge, leaving you to do whatever it is you're doing.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Check your rating....Sosuave AFCs are too scared to give me bad rep points
LOL, doesn't do anything if you have your reputation disabledJackman said:Check your rating....
I don't think you have any actual experience.
Nah, "you must spread some reputation around before" anything happens... You can't give it to the same post twice neither...Jackman said:Thanks for paying much attention to the rating rules and teaching me. I fixed it. Do you have negative points now?![]()
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
