So I wanted to do this as an experiment and was wondering if anyone wants to join me and take part. I want anyone here who had the discipline to not fap every morning or watch porn every day (the former tougher for me since the Vitamins my doctor has me on have me feeling like a bull in the morning) to post here.

I would like if guys didn't share their views on NoFap, for better or for worse.

I don't care if you think NoFap is a gift that will make you into the King Of Sex or if you think it is a scam. I want this thread to be almost like a field report which any guy willing to on here can take part in. It is almost like an experimenting happening in real time and we are reporting results as they come through.

Here is what I am asking those who take part in it do.

1. Try to see how long you can go without fapping and report how many days you can last.

2. Actually go out and game, talk to women, and approach if you are willing to. It also counts if you can get a date through the apps.

3. Report how number 2 is going for you. No need to post an actual field report of every approach, just how it feels like being out there.

4. Report your sexual experiences with women as you get laid along the way (yes you are allowed to get laid).

I want guys on this forum to actually try this and report if it is working for them or not in real time.

NoFap is a lifestyle for me as I have been doing it the better part of a decade.

NoFap will help with approaching as horniness will drive you to approach if you're not fapping, watch porn, or swiping on apps.

NoFap must be done simultaneously with no porn.

The key to long term success in no porn and nofap is getting laid at least semi regularly.

While horniness will peak in the first 1-3 weeks of a nofap streak, that super horny phase doesn't last forever. After about 3 weeks, a more normal feeling emerges.

NoFap will help with frame issues too, which is Iron Rule of Tomassi #1.

I'm sure I'll add more to this as time goes on.

Been doing ok with no fap. Once every 3 weeks. I had been working out and was full of adrenaline and horny and Sexy girl sent me nudes last tuesday night...so that little voice in my head....said "you're already hard....no harm in stroking one out" so i did. Most girls i talk to think its weird that i have a negative minset towards fapping. I detest fapping...when i fap....my masculinity drops. I hate it. I sense a very long stretch of no fap for me. Looking forward to it.

In my life with women i've never got near the success i wanted.
Currently Im more focused on my career and self development. I have been pushing myself to do cold approaches. Approached about 2-3 girls a week over the last 8 month. Very little success. Gonna try and work on it though. I feel my life improving every month so on the whole i feel good

Same, I also started about ten years ago, though it's been a recent struggle.

I'd agree that noporn+nofap is key, but quitting porn is really the most important (and that includes "softcore" stuff seen on IG, youtube, etc). I'd definitely also agree that doing nofap/noporn while having sex is important as well, the whole purpose is to rewire your brain towards real life stimuli.

Another thing, the mechanisms of porn addiction can be found in other areas of your life. The primary addictive force is a dopamine-based drive to seek out novelty (which includes shock, excitement, disgust, etc). Browsing for new porn with 20 tabs open is the EXACT same as opening scrolling through endless social media, youtube, etc. A lot of people don't realize this and simply replace their porn addiction with something else that is just as harmful. There are already neurological studies that basically confirm all internet-based addictions (porn, social media, etc) are literally identical to hardcore drug addictions.

Yes, no porn is most important and it does include all softcore stuff. While it can be difficult to avoid all softcore porn, it's best to make the effort to avoid most softcore porn.

Porn addiction is similar to hardcore drug addiction, though a lot of porn addicts live a semi-functional lifestyle. A lot of porn addicts can hold down a job. They might have messy personal lives, but they can hide their messes better than a lot of drug and alcohol addicts.

Endless social media scrolling doesn't affect erections if the social media scrolling is PG-13 type content.

Emphasis on this. I've lost countless 3week+ streaks to that perfect body bikini slvt that randomly shows up on snap or a youtube thumbnail. It just breaks me. The internet is synonymous with modern life and I will be exposed to the widespread accepted degenerate behavior on there. It's unrealistic to try and remove the problem entirely, it would be more logical to dig deep and work on self control.

I disagree...yes, willpower is a muscle and you can train it like anything else, but it's still a very finite resource. You'll have moments of weakness and can spiral down. The only solution is to remove or create barriers in place of the temptations.

It would be like if your girl is going out drinking in clubs and she says "but I would never cheat" ok that's not the point, you're putting yourself in a situation where cheating is far more likely and forcing yourself to rely on your willpower alone. If you valued the relationship you wouldn't surround yourself with temptations in the first place. So if you're perusing thots on social media, youtube, etc or anything like that, you're just taxing your willpower indefinitely.

Yeah, isn't that everyone's end goal? To be in concise and precise control of your actions, following a thought. Hell, that's one of the few things in life we actually do have control over.

I'm not going to stop getting exercise in my favorite environments because the dimes are around, and on a weak day I may get distracted. That's a bad comparison you laid out. Going to the club is not synonymous with a productive life. It's a fun time, but it won't get you a leg up in life like physical activity and looking after your body will.

Good topic. nofap.com is rather desperate and depressing, though there is positivity too. SS can be crazy reading too sometimes, but it's overall a good read.

No porn was easy for me (maybe twice in a year, so basically none). I guess the trick is to get to the point where you don't go to it for arousal: out of sight out of mind. I am low on horniness these days, so I don't feel the urge.

We've all watched porn and knows what can be done and how super hot girls look like, etc., etc. Get over it.

Nofap is more tricky for me. Particularly after an interaction or night out and having met attractive girls and haven't landed anything, then it happens I fap when falling asleep. Sometimes I fap because I have to sleep because of undertakings the next day. I see the horniness as a curse.

But one thing is certain: fapping is poison for me. If I do, I become meek, whiny, energy less the next day. As a man you need that drive and manliness in your life. So agree with many posts above.

Another thing is that it is pathetic. Like some teenage boy from American Pie, desecrating yourself. Come on.

I've noticed that I fap as a coping mechanism to handle stress, cognitive dissonance, desperation, unhappiness. It's self-medication, distraction. For instance, if the day has been hard in some way I resort to fapping for relieving the tension. I did that way with porn too, but the fapping is still left.

I hope, and think I'll be able to at least strongly reduce fapping.

My current main concern is very low sex drive. I don't even have morning wood. But the psyche is very malleable, particularly mine. Though felt the urge for a girl today. And the good thing is that she's in the real life.

As for fap/no-fap, because it has been OVER for me in the USA for a long time, I fap at will - I mean what's the point. :rolleyes:

I only have 6 tabs open now. :) I mainly use Chaturbate as a talent-search vehicle to look for videos of the models posted online.

As for the addiction part, it's "addicting" because finding poon is an essential biological activity for a male animal. :rolleyes:
