this was also my instinct lol.
Yes. Propinquity is maybe one of the possible equalisers tbh. If you think of any massively 'missmatched' couple (where the guy ISN'T super rich or something) it's almost never from a cold approach (where he'd get rejected) or online (where he wouldn't be swiped on), but it happened over a long time from working together etc with lots od exposure. Even as someone who is very blackpilled (and if you had my wingmen, so would anyone be!) I do think there's something too it. I mentioned this to someone in PM's last week actually. It's not 'scientific' at all, but I like to think of it as she gets used to your ugly face lol. And then assuming you can be fun and cool and flirty etc, you might just have a shot!
the main issue with cold approaches is that you have no idea who the person is or what she is going through at exact that moment. Maybe she has a bad day, or in a hurry, or has a bf. Etc
it happened to me a couple of times to do cold approaches to the same girl in the same night. The first time would be rejected, the 2nd time for things to move forward
that is when I realized that cold approaches are influenced heavily by the mood the girl has in that moment, not necessarily a reflection if she finds you attractive enough or not. Though it can be also the case that she is not finding you good looking enough
with online dating, I think the main issue is that women use it mainly for attention and most girls that are there are either not active, either to get the high of matching with guys and feeling wanted but with no intention of actually going to a date
happened to me numerous times that the discussion would be amazing, but never met for a drink
these are some stats from tinder
“
The Zero-Date Reality: A massive portion of women on apps go on zero dates. In data tracking samples, up to half of the female app users interviewed reported not transitioning a single match into a real-world meeting over the course of the tracked period “
and apparently only 2% of women go to more than 10 dates per year
so you have like 50% of women not going to any date, 2% of going to minimum 10 dates per year, and 48% of women going from 1 to 9 dates per year
but I would guess that most women that go to dates are at best average, especially when they towards the 9 dates of year threshold
So at 52 weeks in total per year, a woman would go to maximum 9 dates, that means 0.17 dates per week, roughly a date every 6 weeks
If she would match only with chads, it means that even chads rarely manage to get a date
so based on stats and my experience is that relying only on dating apps is a very bad strategy, no matter how much of chad you are. And for sure you should make theories about dating based on dating apps behavior
