"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

you seem to be totally misunderstanding here
And contradicting yourself

how can this “ only a very brief, limited sample of information—often just a few seconds or minutes.<<“

NOT equal “ surface level attraction “ (!)

it exactly means ‘ surface level attraction’

LOL
I think you are perhaps misunderstood CJ.

It refers to making an "accurate judgment about a person or situation" which exceeds simply surface level attraction.

It's about developing the intuitive ability to accurately assess a person for compatibility (or whatever) based on limited info involving both verbal and non-verbals.

It goes deeper than surface level physical attraction.

My understanding of the book anyway, I have read it a few times.

But everyone will have their own take on it

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

mate you are wriggling now,
If it happens in a few seconds it CANT “go deeper “ by definition. Ya spanner

Cos it’s just a strong impression ?
And it could be a completely misguided impression also (!)

your argument is circular.

This has happened to me. Well, maybe not "in love" exactly, I'd say maybe "become attracted to" or "develop a crush on" or even "become infatuated with". But yeah, it's happened to me. The next question is does it happen to women, and is it common? I'm sure we've all heard stories about women who initially disliked someone and then became attracted to them, or married them (not necessarily the same thing).

Lol you don't get it CJ but don't have time nor the desire to argue with you about it, I am getting ready to head out for the night.

Take what you will from it, if it helps you with your pick-up, great, carry on!

Good luck!

I really don’t get why some of you guys have the term Don Juan next to your name tbh. That’s a misnomer obviously.
I don't like labels, so I don't consider myself a Don Juan (whatever that is). I know I can attract some girls, and there are other girls who aren't going to be attracted to me. That's about as far as I take it, really. The Don Juan beneath our avatars only have to do with how many posts you've made, AFAIK.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
