"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Ive gone and gotten myself in the friends zone, not officially, but i know the signs and i know how i felt last time, and this is worse.

What makes it worse is that my best pal is ****ing the chick that im in the zone with, and im the only person that knows this.

What sucks more is i cant emotionally detach myself from this, and i might have to tell my friend (also my wingman) about how i feel and all hell could break loose.

Still once an AFC always an AFC i guess.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

bah, get over her, Buck. There are plenty of other women.

The only real trouble is when you can't succeed with *any* women...that's the problem I've been having lately. ;)

Thats not quite how it happend, DJA has only recently realised feelings, DJb has somehow came from nowhere.perhaps its because im jealous i dont know.

Im not entirely sure if am in the friendzone, all i know is i definatley havve oneitis.

and i have no proof my pal's being honest. what a mess.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

If nobody else knows but you, you have to just keep it to yourself and spin a lot more plates. Telling anybody will only make matters way, way worse. Focus on possibilities, rather than lost causes. If it bugs you too much, just do your best to minimizem contact with them, especially her, at least until you're cured.

Golden tip, follow to the line.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
