Here's an interesting research article I found on this topic:

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
Wow...talk about SILLY generalizations.....rakishness said:Interesting article. But some of it is a bit obvious. It seems like a lot of studies these days just regurgitate common sense knowledge. Like recently I heard there was a five year study that concluded that men and women have sex for the same reasons: because it feels good. LOL!!! It took those fools five years to figure that out?!?
Good article..BUT.....Lets not make SILLY generalizations about intelligent men(nerds).
BTW....this seems like a very popular topic here on Sosuave. I think the main reason for this is that many of the people who come to Sosuave are intelligent.
Think about it. Would some jock ever find this website????? Not in a million years Would some nerd???? More likely
Cheers

that's kinda sad. The whole country is made up of hors.By the age of 19, 80% of US males and 75% of women have lost their virginity, and 87% of college students have had sex.
very insightfulAlso, people who are smart tend to have fewer people with whom they make an emotional connection; if you're at either end of the bell curve, there are simply fewer people to whom you can relate.
Why shouldn't people do what makes them happy? I know many of my friends who had sex at 19, and are still with, and married to the one and same girl.Obsidian said:that's kinda sad. The whole country is made up of hors.
yeah, but you can still have sex at 18 and be with one person all your life was my point. I thought you were taking a pop at age and so called bad decisions.Obsidian said:I don't care much about how you guys want to live your lives, but for an LTR, I'd prefer to date/marry a virgin. If 75% of the girls are masculine hors, then that cuts down on my supply.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
I think you struck on a key point. I think the survey was good but it also should have looked at the student's social lives. I'd love to see a plot of number of friends for each IQ segment.Bible_Belt said:Also, people who are smart tend to have fewer people with whom they make an emotional connection; if you're at either end of the bell curve, there are simply fewer people to whom you can relate.
that's way too high an estimate reading the posts I read. probably between 90-105I'm guessing the median IQ of all Internet users is probably 115-120.
how many of those kids had sex out of desire and how many just did it to get it over with or felt like they were pressured into having sex? that's the sad part. Not your friends, but the other 13-19 year olds.Theres alot of pressure on both sides of the fence...The Juan and only said:Why shouldn't people do what makes them happy? Age don't mean sh1t. If you deny yourself the fun and frolic of learning about sex when you're 19, you are a fvckin fool and you'll regret it on your deathbed.
To me, you sound jealous more than anything. Sort it out obsidian, you often give good advice man.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Well it hasnt helped mine...Bonhomme said:I've read that the tendency to have "casual" sex increases with intelligence.
That's b/c intelligent people tend to be more liberal in mindset.Bonhomme said:I've read that the tendency to have "casual" sex increases with intelligence.
Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
