I’ve been seeing those videos where people make their own protein gummies and bars at home, and I honestly have questions.

I was actually thinking about trying protein powder, but after seeing these, I started wondering if making my own gummies or bars would be a better option if I can actually pull it off. I’m definitely not a genius in the kitchen, so that part is still questionable.

Can you really get a decent amount of protein from these things, or is this more of a “looks good on TikTok” situation?

The gummies caught my attention because they apparently have some protein in them, but I don’t know if they’re actually a healthy option. And with some of these homemade protein bars, are we basically making a chocolate bar and calling it a protein bar?

Anyone here actually made these? Any suggestions on whether they’re worth trying or not?

Haha, fair enough. Chicken definitely gets the job done.

Honestly, I was thinking about making some gummy bears that I could grab quickly when I’m in a hurry, especially in the morning when I’m running late. It’s more about having something convenient than trying to replace actual food.

These are great. You can meal prep a bunch, freeze them, and just pop them in the microwave if you need a fast meal.

i don't see what the point of that would be. just eat protein powder, pasteurized liquid eggs, bone broth, or sardines if you want sources of convenient, high quality protein.

Jesus dude just eat some chicken or something.
chicken is gay its all factory farmed goyslop when are people going to realize this

I always keep cans of Jack Mackerel on hand for quick protein ;)

Lower in fat, but extremely high in Omega 3 content in the fat it does have.

You can mix whey protein powder into any baked good.

As far as actual food goes, I like cottage cheese, at least some brands and not the low fat stuff.
Good ole cottage cheese. Both whey and blended cottage cheese are fantastic for baking

Haha, that’s definitely a lot less work than making homemade protein gummies.

I’ve never really thought about keeping canned mackerel around as a quick protein option, but I can see the appeal. Definitely seems like a good backup when you need something quick and don’t feel like cooking.

Yeah, cottage cheese is a pretty solid option. I like that it can add some protein without having to turn everything into a typical protein powder recipe.

I’ve used it in a few things before, but I’ve never really tried it for homemade bars. Might have to experiment with that before I end up making a fridge full of gummy bears

Yeah, I’ve been playing around with some of these protein powder baked goods so I can have high protein instant meals around. Whey is great but it can really dry things out if you use too much. I’m finding that the recipes REALLY benefit from real flour in tandem with whey. Especially cake flour.
