I wasn't planning on being disrespectful just because he likes getting his @sshole expanded occasionally. That's his choice not mine.
I wanted to know if there is something out of the ordinary with a girl who has a gay guy as best friend and not another girl.

The OP's girl is probably just feeling him out to see if he hates gay people. I think the right answer is to say, "Cool. We should all hang out sometime." And that is the best way to make your own judgment of the guy, meeting him in person. As alluded to earlier, sexuality is a spectrum. There are a lot of bi guys. But there are also gay guys who are never going to be attracted to a woman.
My ex wife had one of the latter, a childhood friend who really did sound like a woman on the phone. I was always nice to him. Years later, she and I were fighting because she had gained a lot of weight. All of her female friends said I was an assh0le. The gay guy was the only one who took my side. "Girl, this is NOT what he signed up for" was what he said to her. She took that advice and went on a diet.

I go out with a lot of girls that says they have gay friends. I'm trying to understand if there is some kind of psychological connection with this behavior... Like, some girls prefer to have a gay best friend than female friend. Why this happens? Is that some kind of affection they didn't had on his past or in someway to fill the desire to have a lot of "guys" around her, and at the same time, not being called as slut? If you have a lot of gay friends, you supposedly are not banging with them right? If the girl have a lot of hetero male friends, the Alpha's may loose interest and spin the plate.
Or, another theory is: they have sex with the Alpha's to get their physical desires supplied and then the gay friends could be like the Betas that suplies their needs of attention and emotional intimacy. It's really an idea, not guessing that this is the right one.

A girl who has a gayboy best friend is a major no no.
Firstly, yes you have to question why she doesn't have a female as a best friend. Does she not make good relationships with her own sex? why? is it because other women don't like her? she doesn't like other women?
Secondly, a gay will corrupt her mind. A woman who starts hanging out with gay boys changes. She doesn't have the same mind or personality that she had before meeting the gay boy. She will become more liberal. More hedonist. Maybe even start speaking in gay language when she's with them. I wouldn't really fear that she'd sleep with them as most "out" gays are simply gay degenerates (no biness). It's the mind, personality and values that you would worry about.
