I don't know, but agree with her and elaborate that low self-esteem is indeed ugly. Then tell her that the good news is that at least it's cheaper to fix than plastic surgery.

Assuming you've already replied to this statement, if she makes the comment again, tell her that you and she have already discussed this and you will appreciate if she doesn't ever mention it again.
If she continues to mention it, tell her you can't date sometime with such a poor self image, and exit.

When I respond, I usually passively agree and blow it up even more. I'll say "Yep, absolutely hideous." When they give me hell for saying that, I'll usually say "Well, you're the one who said it. If you don't want me to agree, then don't say it." It works quite well.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Guess it went over your head. I posted that to show how some people don't realize how fortunate they are. I'm pretty sure the girl in question has not been disfigured like the one I posted. And she's probably decent looking. As she could have been unlucky and had an accident or born disfigured or disabled!
