people need to realize that this is only relevant to online dating.
if you're a woman you likely have thousands of matches to choose from, and if you could filter out what you don't want then of course you'll filter it out.
imagine you're a guy that can have sex with any woman you want, of course you're going to filter out the ones with no tits or ass, ones of a specific race, ones with short hair, etc etc.
nothing about this is surprising.

Very well, but why does a 5ft4 > 5ft5 > 5ft6 girl need a 6ft4 guy?
Maybe I can understand a 5ft10 > 5ft11 girl who is in the 99th percentile height for her gender wanting a 6ft3>6ft4 guy who is in the 99th % for his gender, but some 5ft4 girl writing off a 5ft9 guy is being absurd.
And you can't compare it to slim/normal weight guys filtering out fatties and wanting a slim/normal weight girl in their league. Normies often compare this.

I put 5' 10" on my profile and had zero issues with matches or dates or lays or whatever I wanted from it.

Everyone lies so much that when women see five nine, they think you are probably five six. If it says six four, you're at least not short. It's like if dating profiles made a woman list her weight. Are you going to believe what she says, or add 20+ pounds?
The kicker to that's guy experiment is the word apps. "Height matters on dating APPS"
Of course its going to matter on dating apps, because woman use their LOGICAL brain. "This is what my brain and society tells me I should want; "6'4, dark, handsome, rich, 6 pack, etc." so I'm going with it. Now if the same woman met a man at a Starbucks or something, and they connected, his height wouldn't matter as long as he is taller than her.
I hate to say this, but men, if you are not at least 6'0, wouldn't go online, you'd be better off meeting women in natural settings. I've gone out with hot women meeting them naturally and I'm not 6'0 at all.
