Do ab exercises until the cows come home, but it won't make you have a 6 pack. You'll be setting the stage to have one when you start dieting right, getting plenty of cardio in, and your body fat drops - but it's got to be a combination of all of these factors for your abs to show their glory. You can't have abs without a low body fat percentage. However, that won't get it for you by itself. Some people say that you don't need to put on muscle on your abs, but if you look at body builders their abs are massive. I put flat weights on my chest and do 3 sets of 6-8 reps of x lbs.
