the point here is very true. it extends the other direction also. hot women get away with things at work where ugly ones would not. our problem is the continuing effort to hide or deny this. much better to just openly admit it.

for example a hot woman does not often need to be good at anything other than being hot, to advance.

Ive worked in corporate my whole career so I know the ins and outs of the environment. Much like gym you can create aura by behaving a certain way, you dont have to be the best looking as long as you crush the environment. If you have other employees come up to you, ask you for advise, you have charisma and capability then people notice. Social status gives you the ability to make moves over looks IMO. No HR needed.
