Well it depends on a few factors. The chick and you. For the most part I think there is no better social proof. Unless you have a bad reputation like little man hood or being a cheap wad hell yeah your screwed. But if there saying things like "he's so charming or he made me feel so wonderful" it can only help you. Just my experience..

My coworker wanted to hook me up with her sister in law, but I have a rep as a player and her sister in law is looking for a husband. So she refused to even introduce me to her.
My interns know my reputation as a player and want to go out with me and see if its true. (No bill clinton scandal for me, I keep my hands off the interns).
The difference, one is older with children, the others are 20-22 and in college.
Some women like the challenge, some who have been played don't want to be bothered, they want a symp or square to settle down with.
Depends on the woman. Your best bet is to always downplay your player rep. Never admit to it or brag about all the women you date.
