The farthest back I've seen posts from here is from early 2001. I'm just a tad bit curious

And how come it turned out as it did? The front page wasn't all special, but it attracted a lot of really amazing guys like Anti-Dump and so on, and made the word "DJ" mean something more than "PUA"... what I'm wondering is was it by invite, did Allen already know some of these guys, or was it just chance.. or what?

The front page looked different than it does now. From what I can recall, it was black with mostly text.

Jeez...Desdinova thanks for posting the pic up. My god. Didn't realize how much it changed. Used to spend hours in 2001 reading hundreds of articles (and it did me so much good haha) until my father checked the history and saw i was on this site. Followed by a 1 hour lecture on how this is not the way to act and trying to be a DJ is wrong....*sigh*...good times

bit off topic guys, but would you say this forum has gone downhill from the beginning, i know i wasnt around then but reading posts from back then there was a real determination to help each other, now it seems like everyones trying to prove they're the best by belittling other members and their even seems to be more negative posts from when i joined a little less than a year ago

what do you guys think?

Pheh, it's been said often enough; I think this forum's just passed through the stage of maturity where people don't all know each other anymore, and you get the good stuff watered down a bit.

It's still a cool forum. For its size, it's matured well I'd say.

I'm with Gubby, the site has grown & matured. With everything else in life, you lose aspects when you grow, there are advantages and disadvantages. The biggest advantage is more people are getting help and utilizing the knowledge contained herein. The downside is the haters, jealousy etc...

I think it changed when we got our current version of vBulletin. Don't quote me on that though, I rarely visit the main page.

Remember that chick in the upper left-hand corner that everyone said wasn't hot enough? It was really irritating seeing posts about that every goddam week.

Haha interesting. I remember the old front page and bible. As well as the old forums they look terrible now lol the 'Don Juan Centre'.

Forums and bible are better than the main page in my opinion, although that can be good too. I'm well past the need to read much now though.
