I think everyone should have something they do to give back to people/humanity/society.. It just helps you feel good as a person, as well as creates ripples in the world that can lead to great change.

I'm not going to toot my own horn here.. but I contribute to charity quite often and physically go and do things to help others at least once a month. Won't get into all the specifics because it's not about me..

For some of those who don't have anything you contribute to the world and want to:
Check out some of these:
Big Brother (become a youth mentor)

Great website to find a buncha diff volunteer opportunities:
VolunteerMatch.org

You can find local farmers to support here:

You can donate blood for those in need,

You can do simple stuff like find some seniors/elders around you and help them with things.
I think there's a website too elder.org

You can volunteer as a firefighter..

You can also find your local homeless communities and just go and feed them, one of the easiest things to do.

Some of you are banging fat chicks/whales.. you are already doing your part for humanity, so I salute you.

Society and humanity sure have done a lot for me. Truly I owe them a great deal indeed.

I volunteer at the boys and girls club. Reason being that place is filled with women so I put activities for boys including proper form for body weight exercises, nutrition meal plans (do not drink soy milk or anything that includes soy in its ingredients) how to change a tire, change oil, how to play instruments, etc.

That last time I was at a casino playing a poker tournament I was using the gentleman’s room on my way back from dinner break, I saw an elderly man as a janitor cleaning the stalls, sinks and I handed him a crisp $20. The senior citizen lit up and said, “thank you, you are too kind” with a smile that made his day.

Helping you guys to stop scaring women away.

Seriously, though, the older I get, the more I realize that life is all about service to others. Nothing is more gratifying than helping out people in need. Sacrifice for the betterment of others really does tangibly help the world to be a better place because there’s a ripple effect. The person helped is likely to pass a similar kindness on to another person, and so on. It grows exponentially until the ripple loses energy.
Let’s keep injecting the world with selfless acts of kindness. By loving this way we are having a far more powerful effect on our world than we can imagine.

I was wondering why people reacted with the laugh emojij and totally forgot I threw in a joke at the end xD

It's awesome to see so many people doing alot of cool things to give back. It is truly fulfilling to give back and make others feel good by doing good deeds and random acts of kindness. Definitely something that not only makes me feel good, but keeps me balanced.

What on earth would ever give you the impression that any of these people deserve “betterment?” In most cases, a service to humanity is a disservice to justice

Smile Train. It helps poor kids (those who can't afford the surgeries) have their cleft lip and palate fixed

I know religion here is banned but a prominent bishop did say the only way to fill ourselves up is to paradoxically empty out the ego in love (e.g. service to others) This is in contrast to filling ourselves up with power, wealth, pleasure and honor. We seek these four things but are never fully satisfied once we get it and always crave more creating a vicious cycle.

In my best Denzel voice...

"Brrriiinnnngggg!! You hear that sound? That's the 3 O'clock bell. For 20 million kids, that means they've got nowhere to go and nothing to do. Gives a whole new meaning to the 3 O'clock bell, doesn't it?

It's time to support the boys and girls club. Go to greatfutures.org"

My sons and I donate our time every year to built bikes for a local charity. The bikes go to kids and young adults to enable them to have transportation for work/school or just the basic freedom to explore that a bike can provide. Last year we had boys from the neighborhood and school join our group. The boys learn basic mechanical skills, how to appreciate what they have, how to give without expectations and a sense of community with other people. My son was super excited one year when the family next to us got a special bike for their daughter that could not walk. The experience left a lasting impression on him.

I ride bikes with buddies and I am the token mechanic during and after rides. Payment is good times and cold beer.
