Is it okay to drink 2% milk instead of skim? I like milk, but not skim...

it is perfectly fine to drink 2% skim milk. The body needs some milk fat too. skim milk is for individuals who have very high cholesterol level.

Guess I should clarify

I'm starting Warbosses guide to gaining weight. Everthing I've read so far instructs skim milk not 2% or whole and I can't find an explanation why.

Does it matter?

depends on the amount of milk you get a day. For a time I drank 6 litres a day and that was 0.5% fat milk. This added up to 30 g saturated fat a day. If I had used 2% it would have been 120 g saturated fat a day. If you drink alot of milk then go for lower % of fat. Otherwise it doesn't really matter that much.

Skim milk doesn't have the saturated fat that 2% has.

If you follow a guide, and the only thing you change is drinking 2% instead of skim, it won't have a large impact. If you like 2%, drink 2%.
