"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Ok, here goes:

A few nights ago I went to a baseball game with all my coworkers. It's alot of fun, nobody really pays attention to the game, it's really just a good time to hang out and talk and stuff like that. Anyway, most of my coworkers are college students, and the girl who gave me a ride to the game was sitting next to me the whole time. I've known her for a long time, about 3 years, and never really considered her an option because of the age difference. I'm 17, she's 23. So we're talking and all that, and she tells me that her and a bunch of my coworkers are going to the local bar and asked if I wanted to go because they don't card on weekdays. I had to tell her no because I had to go home to my parents and my curfew is 11pm. Well, a few minutes later, just out of the blue she leans over to talk to me and tells me that if I ever wanted to come over to her appartment to drink with her, stay the night, and just hang out that it would be totally cool. I said sure, and we traded #'s. Anyways, I haven't talked to her about it since then, and was wondering if anyone thought it might be innuendo. Kinda like a "Why don't you come in for some coffee" thing.
Just lookin' for opinions on whether it might lead to more than just drinking. I am gonna take her up on her offer just to see where it leads. In anycase I get the chance to get wasted, so it's all good.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

MIGHT be innuendo?

If I said that to most of my female friends, that would simultaneously ruin the friendship and my reputation. Go for it, and go for it hard.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
