"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Did she ever press charges against that piece of sh!t Penkitten?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

This all said, 99% of female are guys. also, why on earth are you flirting online?
LOL, I knew a lot of hotties that played that game. My ex still plays, she was very cute-my buddies g/f still plays, she is also a hottie. And I have met others.

The girl is question was an HB9, I talked to her on the phone many times, etc. That's more or less how I ended up getting busted.

Now, that being said, I felt like a complete tool for going there, and it was ****ty thing for me to put my g/f through. But the difference between me and this b1tch in the video linked her, is that I never got so silly as to think that us flirting on the phone had real life potential, and I felt like a complete jack ass for doing what I did. Not only does this woman not seem to realize what she is doing to he family, she is completely caught up in the fantasy thing times 10: We went on virtual dates, it was so romantic, blah blah.. are you fvcking kidding me? Some serious issues there.

I knew a chick who was a 8-9 too who played, but I still assume everyone who plays is a guy. If I want to meet girls, I go where the ratio is better.

Video games are/were a hobby. Girls and hobby's don't mix!

no, she filed bankruptcy and paid for her own divorce and started over.
at first she was trying to go get her things one tiny carload at a time, until i found out and called her up... i told her "chickie, you either wait til hes at work and we can go pack it all up and take it to storage and be done with it, or you just say to heck with it and leave it all behind and start fresh."
she didn't have a whole lot of things to begin with as they were actually only married about a year and a half when this happened.
she is still very afraid of him and thinks he follows her sometimes.
he's too lazy to be following her around, if he can't do anything but work and go home to get on second life, is what i say.

she is so different than me, cause if it were me, i would have taken a ball bat to his knees after he went to sleep for beating me up, and then i would have smashed his precious computer.

Wow, I didn't know this thing even existed.

I can see how people might get lured into something like this. Life is hard, and we grow up thinking we all deserve to be rich and famous and beautiful. Six or seven years and four kids into a marriage and no hope for fulfilling those dreams must seem like a pretty bleak existence for some folks.

At least I know if and when I do run across a chick worthy of settling down with, I know I will have been there and done that and I will be more ready and have more realistic expectations than 99% of people.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Second Life, World of Warcraft, and any other MPORG are simply more Buffers to insulate guys from real rejection and supply women with the attention they constantly seek for affirmation. And just like most Buffers, they are sold as an extroversion, but are really only an introversion. The socially retarded flock to this escape, but it only isolates and constrains them more in the real world.

the wife was actually embarrassed that he was as AFC as he was. She felt sorry for him and how pathetic he was.

Yeah I mean I can't believe her reaction to him declaring his unwavering loyalty to her and she didn't even care! In all honesty, why SHOULD she care?

The guy is a little wuss. He has no faith in his own strength to take charge and be a man. She's not married to a man. How can she respect him? He needs to kick her out of the house already.

Either that or I play it a few hours on weekends to spend time with my brothers who live 4 hours away. Beware generalizations, you start to sound like an old man who is against that new telephone gadget young people are using nowadays.

I'll worry less about coming off like that than the guy playing the 70th level, Night Elf Druid telling me he plays to keep in touch with family for a "few hours" on the weekend.

We all have our escapes (myself included), it's when they become more appealing, comfortable and preferable to live in than reality that the problems start. Escapes are healthy, Buffers are handicaps.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Well, I don't know anyone who has a lot of endgame characters and who claims it's "all social", but I suppose it's possible. In the winter having an indoor pass time can be nice.

I'll go with that. I have no endgame characters although I've played for 3 years elapsed time I think. Many people play a lot more, but for most it's social, for instance a lot of the guys at work get together online after work (I do not) and play, for them it's a lot like an indoor version of golf.

I think most of the 10+ million players are casual but many that you see online at any given time are not that casual, healthy group. There is a large core of people who behave precisely as you describe and who are overrepresented online simply due to spending too much time online.

They are not an accurate cross section of subscribers, however.

I just give money to Blizzard.

My brother and his sons play WOW. They just started. He was telling me about it and about how fun it is, blah blah blah. It's weird too. He's an engineer, has a hot wife, three kids, nice house, totally not an AFC in any way. And here he is playing D&D online. Go figure.

The vid presented by Str8 was DISTURBING! I had heard of second life, but seeing it firsthand was just creepy. I had to laugh at that b1tch who bought a plane ticket to London to see that wussbag. He thought he was so smooth, too. He had the charm and personality of a toilet seat.

I often wonder about people using SS as a buffer sometimes. It's cold where I live, so I've made quite a few posts here in the last three months because of being stuck in the house (and most of my posts dealt with the LS fiasco). But I've seen new members (won't post names) who just joined last month with over 400 posts. What's the difference between SS and WOW for some?

I do as much active stuff as anyone on this board. I am as hardcore about playing my sports as anyone here, barring professional athletes. That said, I have chill time from partying, friends, work, sports, drinking where I love to unwind, fire up some world of Warcraft and go pvp ( acronym for player versus player). Social buffer? socially retarded? I really don't think so. Its more of a dead time killer.

I don't go on there to meet girls, I don't go on there to be social - I am actually very anti-social, and very goal oriented. Sound stupid, but I have no desire to socialize with a bunch of nerds, but I do love beating up the other team :D

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

So this is never the other way around? Women are the ones in need of constant attention and affirmation?

The rest of what you said made sense.

You're right about MMORPGs being a buffer for guys who are only seeking an insulation from the real world. But I have a hard time believing that a woman joins something like WoW only because she seeks attention from other guys. Sure, there are probably some instances of it, but for the most part, people get engulfed in online video games because they are a vehicle for social interaction. Social interaction is what these obsessive types lack in real life.

During some dark days in high school, I played Everquest. I wasn't really what you'd consider an obsessive type, but I did play a lot. There is a point every subscriber hits where he or she realizes that the whole game is basically one big chat room. But the problem is, once you come to that realization, you're already hooked and scared to leave the online world behind because you've made friends there. Canceling your account is pretty hard to do when you feel like you're betraying a group of your friends.

People first start playing MMORPGs for entertainment, like any other video game. But eventually, they get locked in because the game operates like a society. When you think about it, it's kind of evil how developers design those games.

All I have to say is that the husband has himself to blame. Get some balls is all I can say.

"Tough Love" is what he needs to apply in that situation. His love is selfish and weak. His love she be mostly for his self and then the rest.

Oh, well. He's an idiot that has been feminized and watched too many fictional Disney "love" movies. He thinks he'll win her back by being there and doing whatever she wants.

My Bad, I gotcha now. I haven't played for a few months, so at this point, the lingo is foreign to me :p

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
