Who's going to speak up for Michael now?Guys, I banned Spitfire. He was actually the recently banned StevieLA.
There's still Tito and Jermaine.Who's going to speak up for Michael now?
Yeah, the worst part, in my mind, is the complicity of the mothers and how that affects the child's psyche. Not to diminish the abuse - that's absolutely despicable. If that happens on its own it can ruin a person for life. But I can't imagine coupling that with knowing your mother pimped you out for it to happen. I'm glad there's less of a stigma about talking about it, because I think part of the reason abuse was so self-perpetuating (like you said it probably was with MJ) is that there was too much shame around it, or pressure to get into trouble, or the idea that no one would believe it. These two might not have been helped if they'd told their moms when they were kids, but at least now instead of repressing it and possibly repeating the cycle they can talk about it.Finally saw the second part of this, didn't change my impressions much.
I thought the part with Michael's death was sad, pedophile or not. He did represent a lot of good to a lot of people, and sounds like he was charitable. It's good to remember that all people are a mixture of good and bad. Contrast that with James Safechuck's mother, who said she did a dance to celebrate his death, because he wouldn't be hurting any more children. The whole thing seems tragic.
It seems that becoming parents put Wade and James experiences into a new perspective for them. It didn't seem like they were really angry over what happened until they had kids of their own, and realized how they would react to someone doing that to their kids.
Looks like they both resent their mothers for letting that happen to them.
What looks worst for Michael is how there were a long line of kids who ended up accusing him, and they were all about the same age, they all fit the pattern.
Is that facetious? I honestly have never heard whether it was allegedly the dad, the mom, a brother, or some outsider. Probably some music industry sicko and probably a male. Usually when boys are molested by women they grow up to be serious misogynists (the real kind) like Ted Bundy.I wonder, who molested Michael Jackson
Huh, I didn't know Ted Bundy was molested as a child. Of course that fits.Is that facetious? I honestly have never heard whether it was allegedly the dad, the mom, a brother, or some outsider. I take that back, I may have been wrong. I read The Stranger Beside Me a few years ago, but I've read a number of other true crime books (and web sites) and may have confused his background with others'. He was born out of wedlock and his grandparents pretended to be his parents, and his mother posed as his sister, for a while. He never knew his father and resented his mother for the deception.Huh, I didn't know Ted Bundy was molested as a child. Of course that fits.
I remember all of that. Being molested at a young age fits too. Look at R. Kelley...I take that back, I may have been wrong. Leopold and Loeb, at least one of them but I think both were molested by their au pairs. (But they murdered a boy.) John Wayne Gacy was molested by a woman too and murdered boys. So I guess you can just be really messed up no matter who violated you.I remember all of that. Being molested at a young age fits too. Look at R. Kelley...
Meh, I am into this type of stuff to. I don't find it overly intriguing nor disturbing. It's always nice to have a good chat with someone on a shared interestLeopold and Loeb, at least one of them but I think both were molested by their au pairs. (But they murdered a boy.) Now @sazc, you'll either find it intriguing or disturbing that I know this stuff.
And neither one is publicly stating that they've forgiven their own mother for not protecting them as children, although both say they are working on it and view forgiveness as a process or a journey.People out looking for money grabs aren't going to continue to admit that some part of them loves a man who sexually abused them. Or experience having their families ripped apart for that matter.
Pedophiles lie well, they lie with conviction. It gets them what they want. Look at that Theranos chick. People are still debating if she knew she was blatantly lying or if she had herself conned into believing that they were a day away from truly being successful and, because of that, she opted to verbally lead with optimism and faith..
The most unsettling thing is that Michael could lie so well. He seemed convincing in his rebuttal from back in the 90s. That makes men like him all the more dangerous - maybe they believe what they're doing is somehow "good" and not damaging.
