Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
Funny, I don't see one post that implies that. In fact, I see nothing but posts that say its both people's kid and both people's resonsibility. All the posts say the same thing, If a woman decides not to work why should a man be forced to pay for her laziness.Originally posted by Eileen
I see several replies here that don't seem to take into account that children are the result of TWO people's actions. Many of the comments lean towards implying that the children belong to the women and are their soley the womans responsibility.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

DON'T GET MARRIED WITHOUT ONE! [/QUOTE
Actually things are a bit more complex. A couple of things to keep in mind about pre-nups:
1.You do not necessarily need a pre-nup.
Typically you need a pre-nup if you are coming to marriage with substantial property, have children from previous marriages, or expect an inheritance.
If you are a typical young person getting married for the first time, pre-nup is not needed.
2. Pre-nups are tricky, and are not always enforceable. That is, a divorce court may throw some (or even all) of the pre-nup provisions away if these are found to contradict the law or public policy. Examples: agreements concerning custody and child support are typically not enforceable. Ditto an agreement not to have children. Agreements on property division and alimony could also turn out to be unenforceable.
3. Process of negotiating a pre-nup could be very contentious and harmful for the trust in relationship. It is like a mini-divorce.
IMO, this is no substitute to pre-screening your prospective wife, and getting to know her really well.
Why marry a golddigger, even with a pre-nup?
In some situations, pre-nup is clearly called for, but it is far from cure-all.
As for myself, I got married twice, both times without a pre-nup.

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
Why do you read Maxim magazine?Anyone seen the pics of her in Maxim?
1.) It's a men's magazine, and I can relate to it.Why do you read Maxim magazine?

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
That sounds like a canned response. How does looking at half-naked pictures of Anna Kournikova make me average, frustrated, or a chump? I just don't see how that would negatively impact my life...Maxim magazine relies directly on the wallets of AFCs around the world.
Most magazines do these days... By that same argument I shouldn't look at hustler or penthouse either. It sells it's magazine with sex appeal.
It could print all the dating advice columns in Chinese and frankly I wouldn't notice the difference, since I don't usually read the articles, and the ones I do read are not serious topics, like office olympics (rubber band archery is cool). Why would anybody look to a magazine for life changing advice anyway? It also has some of the worst columns on dating advice that I've ever read.
I was referring to the articles, not half naked pictures of women. My whole opinion is why should I pay for a half-naked picture of women when I could probably find it on the internet for free? Also, a real half-naked woman is much more fun! That sounds like a canned response. How does looking at half-naked pictures of Anna Kournikova make me average, frustrated, or a chump? So does the music industry. I'm certainly not going to buy a CD of Christina Aguurewelr just because she's half naked on her album covers. Most magazines do these days... By that same argument I shouldn't look at hustler or penthouse either.

I have yet to see another marriage besides mine where the man isn't whipped. I've got a friend who is getting married at the end of the month, and his fiance already treats him like 5hit. She's sure as hell nothing to look at (she's gotta be over 300 lbs) and if I were him, I'd run. Can't really say anything because his fiance is my wife's friend (that's how I met him).
It'll only be a matter of time until men finally get pissed off (like the women did) and organize a Men's Rights group. Prepare for WWIII, the war of the sexes.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
