I want her, but I'm a novice. Give me some pointers or some examples yall have did to approach girls at their jobs.

Picking up at a place of work is not my speciality, except for number closing the dry cleaner girl :rock:. But I'll try to give you some information.
First, commercial establishments such as restaurants, bars, grocery stores, ice cream places, etc., are very, shall we say, "incestuous." In other words, it is possible that she is already hooking up with some other dude that works there. I'm not trying to discourage you in the least. I think you still should go for it.
That caveat aside, you need to chat with her a bit. (What you say isn't that critical.) See how the conversation goes. If it goes pretty well, try to get her number. Maybe say something like, "I'd like to give you a call sometime." Then get the digits.
Now there are two schools of thought here:
1. Be bold and just ask for the number regardless of who is around.
2. Use discretion and try to get the number when there aren't five people nearby and listening.
I lean towards #2. I think it would be embarrasing for the chick to picked up in front of her boss/manager. Also, she might be reluctant to give you the number in front of a dude she's hooking up with or a female coworker that knows she's sort of "taken."
On the hand, don't procrastinate and make ten trips there trying to find the perfect opportunity either. That will creep her out. Use your best judgement and go for it. The worst that can happen is she'll give you the "I have a boyfriend" or "I'm sorta seeing someone" thing. Best case scenario, you have a number to work with.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
