The key is persistence. Don't be desperate, but be persistent. Right now I have 4 or 5 girls that want my jock, and I acquired them all over a year's time. Learn to be happy with yourself, too, man. When it doubt go back to the fundamentals. Get yourself fit, make sure your posture and body language is good, up your style, and work on your social skills. Unless you completely failed in the genetic lottery and look absolutely hideous if you work on these your success will increase.

You might have to consider relocating. I wasted two years of the most important part of my life trying to make a mark where I felt the same way-- living and working in San Jose CA. I finally realized, I had to get out of there. Since I moved to the other end of the Bay Area, my life has done nothing but improve.

Stop worrying about these *****es. They are that stench in the air you can't put your finger on. Or someone did put their finger on, waved it around, and hence why it stinks.
You basically have to open them up and give them a chance to catch wind of you. But most likely the air around them is stale and putrid. Some will be a breath of fresh air though.
