HEEEELLLP! I'm hopelessly in love with this waitress where I work. We seem to be getting along rather well. But I've never dated before and I'm 25! I can't tell if she's giving me *signs* and even if she is...I wouldn't know how to respond. What should I do?!?!

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Just relax, we can fix this. You take a stick of butter (8 tbsp worth) , 4 eggs, 1 and a half tablespoons of sugar (real sugar or pure glucose), 1 teaspoon of salt and one cup of flour and one cup of water.

Now you take a small pan and boil the water, sugar, salt and butter for a moment. Now take it off the heat and dump in the flour. Mix vigorously until it's smooth. Now put it back on the heat and keep mixing until some of that moisture disappears. Take off the heat.

Now it's time to add the eggs, one at a time. Slowly mix until the mixture is frothy. Make sure you're using a whisk, forgot to tell you. The mixture should be soft enough to fall through the whisk. Like a very thick cream that holds it's shape well. If not, you can put it back on the heat and remove some of that moisture. Keep mixing, you don't want to cook it. Now take it and put in the freezer for it to cool down. Don't let it freeze.

Take some parchment paper and a pastry bag. Put the mixture in the pastry bag and use a star shaped nozzle if you have one and squeeze out some nice thick rings. No larger than 2". They should hold their shape.

Put them in the freezer to firm everything up. They will not freeze to the parchment paper, it's non-stick.

Now take half a gallon (2 Litres) of fresh oil and bring it to heat in a nice wide deep pan. Oil level should be at least 1" deep. Medium heat. Place the rings in and fry them. They should inflate because of the moisture inside leaving the insides nice and fluffy. Fry until golden brown and put aside to cool.

Congratulations, you have made a dozen fresh donuts using real ingredients. Icing sugar is recommended. You can make your own, take regular sugar and blend on high until it pulverizes.

In that case you might want to reduce the butter. Recipe says 8 tbsp (1 stick) but it's too much IMO. 6 tbsp should be enough.

why haven't you dated in the past?
Women hate me like a plague.....And I can't cook, so the donut recipe isn't really noted. FML.

That was a joke. I have no idea what you're looking for. You've got to be a little more open about what's going on if you want advice from people.

So you haven't dated before. How close have you come and what do you think prevented you from dating a woman? Also, how is your social life? Friends, do you have close friends? Tell me something about them.

Ummm...ok, here's the jist of it.

I've never got into dating because I only recently (since 2009) recovered from chronic depression. Now I'm good though...I can honestly say I'm a happy (...enough) guy just trying to get by. Also, because I don't usually go out much.

1. I don't know where to go where I would run into girls.

2. I refuse to spend time in bars and clubs...especially in this town, we are SWARMING with crack addicts.

3. Like 90% of the girls I meet are mindless snobtastic drones...Not all! Must most.

As for my social life. I don't really have one. I have only 2 friends so far and they don't really hang out with me much because they've known me for a long time.
Meaning they knew me when I was severely depressed. And back then I was impossible to tolerate. I also have only 2 friends because we "shun" the drone-minded and there's never really much to gain from spending time with people like that.

Also, I was kidding myself about the donut recipe....exept for the part where I can't cook...I can't cook worth s!?t.

doesnt matter...you werent going to get her anyway.

go read the Dj bible, then read it again, because you need to work on YOURSELF before you start working on any girls.

that being said...You can do it! really anyone can, no matter how bad theyve done in the past. good luck!
