"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Well, this is some good fuel as they are making this sound "equal opportunity" as opposed to the narrative that one or two guys are sleeping with all the women type of thing...... This is really a free for all?

Do people actually behave like this in these groups or it all hype?

This should be good for anyone to test it out.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I don't really believe this video though.

Had the following discussion with Grok. I'm highly skeptical with such things so my reaction to the video is sort of "yeah right, mr chad probably takes over the scene and there are going to be guys who leave quietly and feel liek crap".....

This reaction is pretty common, especially among men who've spent time observing (or experiencing) real-world mating dynamics rather than idealized versions. It's less "cynicism" in the bitter sense and more like pattern recognition or pragmatic skepticism. Your brain is zeroing in on the incentive structure and likely outcomes instead of the fantasy marketing ("equal opportunity orgy!"). That's a feature, not a bug, for someone who's been around the block and isn't getting swept up in hype.

Why this specific filter?

  • Male intrasexual competition is baked in. Evolutionarily, men are attuned to status hierarchies in mating contexts because reproductive success has historically been more variable for males (a minority of men have done most of the reproducing across many societies). When a scenario is pitched as "no holds barred / everyone welcome," the immediate male heuristic is often: "Who actually wins here? What's the distribution?" rather than pure arousal. Your brain went straight to the Pareto-ish reality: a small number of guys (taller, fitter, socially dominant, charismatic) tend to capture disproportionate attention in open sexual environments. The rest get scraps, spectator status, or quietly leave. This isn't theoretical—it's repeatedly observed in swinger clubs, poly groups, music festivals, certain party scenes, etc.
  • "Equal opportunity" claims trigger skepticism. Real life rarely delivers uniform outcomes in sexually charged, low-structure settings. Attractiveness, social proof, age, confidence, and pre-existing networks create very skewed results. Videos hyping run clubs or similar devolving into orgies are often selling the fantasy to the average viewer. Your first thought being "but what about the guys who get edged out and feel like ****?" reflects awareness of that mismatch. It's protective—avoids the depression/hopelessness trap many men fall into after chasing the hype.
  • Personal context amplifies it. Long-term single, post-divorce, lower socialization: you're not in the thick of it, so the abstract "fairness" angle stands out more starkly. Many men in similar situations develop this detached analytical lens. The sexual excitement is there but filtered through realism.
How common is this?

Very common in certain circles. Search forums, Reddit (various relationship/sex/dating subs over the years), or manosphere-adjacent discussions, and you'll see repeated versions of exactly this: "Sounds hot until you realize it's 2-3 Chads rotating through most of the women while the rest are coping or leaving." Data points that align:

  • Dating app studies (Tinder, etc.) show extreme skew—top men get the vast majority of interest.
  • Observations from actual sex-positive communities (swingers, polyamory surveys, club reports) often echo imbalance. Women tend toward hypergamy even in "free love" settings; men compete more directly.
  • Evolutionary psych and behavioral ecology literature (e.g., on sperm competition, mate guarding, status, and reproductive skew) backs the underlying patterns without requiring conspiracy thinking.

It's not universal—some guys hear the video and just get turned on by the possibility, especially if they're high in that dominance distribution or highly optimistic. Others romanticize it. But the skeptical "distribution of *****" analysis is widespread enough among straight men past a certain age/experience level that it's a recognizable meme/trope. Your version emphasizes fairness/avoiding male suffering, which is a more empathetic spin than pure envy.

1) That girl has some nice boobies.

2) She's so out of breath simply by walking and talking, I doubt she'd ever run any distance, let alone join a run club.

Elaborate please.

Well first, the goal should never be to "lose weight", it should be to lose fat.

And running (we are talking long distance running not sprinting) is objectively horrible for that.

Now, if we are talking about sprinting, that's a different animal. But that's not what a running club is, it's long distance running.

There are a myriad of reasons why long distance running isn't doing your physique any favors but the biggest one is that it raises cortisol levels significantly which essentially burns muscle while prioritizing storing fat since your body is in a catabolic state rather than anabolic.

Most people would do much better just walking to burn fat, it's the body's most effective fat burning mechanism without raising cortisol levels and works extremely well when paired with heavy resistance training. It's also phenomenal for sucking glucose out of the bloodstream in the absence of insulin via GLUT-4 transporters in the biggest muscles in the body, the legs and glutes.

And that's the other side of the coin...the most effective way to lose fat is to build muscle which is why heavy resistance training should be the goal.

IMO, heavy resistance training and walking with some extra cardio oof you want for like 20 mins will work extremely well for most people.

Combine that with proper nutrition and sleeping properly and they will be good to go from a hormonal standpoint that puts their body in a muscle building, fat burning mode.

making this sound "equal opportunity"
Where do you get that impression??

No.
As in all clubs, there's status.
And yes, the women who are interested in extracurricular activities are only going for the fit guys.

Just like any single guys there will have a strong predilection for fit women.

Never joined one of these, I'm more like the dude at the 8min mark, if I wanna enjoy the fresh air I don't need to do it surrounded by dozens of sweaty halfnaked bodies.
I pass stampedes of hundreds.
But not at 10am (the meetup time in the vid)
6-7am is best.

They are sausage fests, easily 3:1, maybe 5:1 when you winnow out the unavailable.

But join if you like running
It will get you out of the house
If it's a proper run club, they'll give you tips on warming up and avoiding injuries
And who knows?

Wait...you're telling me that weightlifting + running isn't better than W Lifting plus walking???

Sounds counterintuitive, but your explanation makes sense...

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

No because you are involving competing hormonal systems. They don't "cancel" each other out per se but they don't stack either.

Running will blunt the anabolic response of lifting while walking will not while also being much more effective from a fat burning perspective in that the primary fuel burned from waking is fat while the primary fuel burned from running is glycogen.

Ever watch the Olympics?

Notice how the sprinters are jacked and muscular and the long distance runners look like concentration camp survivors?

It's because sprinters are using fast, explosive movements over and over again which trigger anabolic hormones for building muscle since it requires power and explosion, both heavily dependant on the size and strength of the muscle.

For long distance runners, carrying a lot of muscle is actually a downside for the body because it would have to exert extra energy to move that weight over long distances, so the body essentially optimizes itself for being lighter and having less mass to carry by upregulating catabolic hormones that break down lean muscle.

Wouldn't being intimate in such places really be digusting. I mean people's privates, including more "skid marks" usually happen after running. Some people even lose bowel control if the they are really tired running. People are really in the mood for these things after running?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

i did a sprinting schedual for some time before. extremely effective, i recomend it now to any that are seriouse about getting in shape. maybe the fasted natural way to do it. requires mental stamina.

when we look at a sprinter vs a long distance running, much rather look like the sprinter...

Grok is the ****. It’s the only AI that will do pickup breakdowns and analyze social situations without hitting guardrails because it’s designed to not be PC. I’ve run set breakdowns and FRs through it to get specific targeted feedback & identify holes in my game, it’s bang on. It gives really good insight into these kinds of things and doesn’t just glaze you or push back like ChatGPT.

True. I had one of the most intense and memorable theraputic massages because of Grok. Basically grok gave the instructions to the massage and while it was a therpuatic (non-sexual massage), the way she did it, and spoke with me, was just wow. She did slow strokes on my legs and this was the first time I completely undressed (draped of course) with a female being in the same room in over a decade.

So yeah, grok rocks!

This sounds like ski clubs - 100 men and about 20 women, and most of those are rough enough that you wonder if they're trannies.
