Kudos on your commitment Plinco- cold approaching is definitely not an easy thing to do.

Only advice I can give is to improve in the area(s) that you feel you need to & try not to take the rejections to heart. Many times you'll say and do the right things and are still met with "no". It's all about finding the people that are interested in what you're selling- when you do find them, it's easy.

Thanks for the encouragement! Sometimes I get a lot of the opposite.

I saw a 9/10 walk into a store adjacent to the one I was walking in. If I had the right amount of confidence I would have approached her.

There was another woman in the store which was walking towards me. I asked her if I was in her way, but she politely/dismissively said I was not.

There was also another woman who I initially wanted to approach, but when she turned around, I could see the wrinkles in her face, and with the mature facial expression, which instantly turned me off. I'm guessing she was 28-30

I did two cold approaches today

1.) Two girls shopping looking at cake mixes on clearance. They look like sisters. I commented that excess sugar is unhealthy and they nodded their heads and said "yes." I added a few more lines to try to get a conversation going but the challenging aspect of this approach was that both girls were re-affirmed by the other and there wasn't enough sustainability for someone with my conversation skill level to make inroads to. It could have been done, but this was not a beginner level approach.

2.) Girl in the bookstore with her friend. I was about 20 feet away reading a book, and decided to wait patiently for her friend to get up for some reason, or for the girl I wanted to talk to get up. Sure enough they both get up for some reason, and then the target girl comes back without her friend. I walked up to her and made a comment about her shirt. The conversation went on for about a minute, and honestly, I just ran out of things to say. She was polite and receptive to me, but running out of conversation runway led to a creeping in of awkwardness. I ended the conversation politely and said "nice talking with you" and she said "yes, you too ".

You could have saved time and immediately asked if she was single and available. You could have turned a 1 minute conversation into a 5 second conversation. A lot of 30-60 second conversations fizzle out because the woman isn't in the market.

I can see why you tried for an extended conversation before an ask out to see if there was enough commonality to warrant a 1-3 hour first date.

The essence of mode one is integrity, which is my approach. I have conversations because that's what I want to do.

It's not that I'm not using mode one, it's that I'm not effective with my target women because I am not confident that I can fight off the reactions from other men that may be in the area (i.e. bars, grocery stores, etc). I have what's called the toolbox fallacy, that I have to have all of my ducks in a row so to speak, in order to be confident enough that I won't be stepping into a bear trap.

I had two fantastic opportunities today for cold approaching and I blew it because I decided to be a chicken you know what. I did a couple of half-butted warm approaches.

I approached two 7/10 18 yo girls at the mall today. The conversation lasted for about two minutes. They were not interested, but nothing was wrong with the interaction either.

I just came home from a local bar that's known for having a lot of 20-somethings frequent. There were actually a decent age spread, from 21 to 65-ish, about equally represented. I got there about 9:15PM and it was half crowded. There were people playing pool, and others with their cliques at a number of tables. I was by myself, and basically sat on the periphery and watched what was going on. I haven't been much in this environment since 2020, so I was sitting there, gathering it all in. There was one dude who was making good shots in a game of pool, so I got up and walked across the bar to tell him that I thought his shots were pretty good. Other than that, I did not interact with anyone else there.

My plan of action at this place, is to get there earlier, say 8:30PM, play some pool, and see if I can invite others to play with me. Otherwise I don't know how else to get myself involved in their cliques.

Across the street, on the beach, there was something of a block party of what looked like high school people. I felt frustration and angst that I wasn't invited. This feeling lasted for about 45 seconds to a minute.

This was a successful reconnaissance mission.

The income is from my lawn business. If I divided that by the number of hours worked for the month, it comes out to ~35/hour, which is average for the area that I live.

Posting videos helps me practice public speaking. My passion is to promote Aristotelian epistemology by giving my take on current events. I want to demonstrate a more effective way to think, not necessarily pushing what to think.

Dating apps, for what I'm trying to do, are as useful as tits on a bull. I recon that cold and warm approaches have a much better likelihood of success. One of my challenges right now is to find times and locations where I can meet the type of women I'm interested in.

The biggest obstacle to workout consistency is my (terminal) insomnia, which I am working on fixing. I have had some success so far.

Why is this all you've done in a whole month? What's your goal if the steps you're taking are so small?
