If it's coming from men who aren't successful with women, then yes, I can see how it could be a form of cope. But that argument can work both ways. A similar argument could be made about men who have never pulled a virgin, or who did so when they were younger but weren't able to maintain the relationship.
In all fairness, the neurodivergent guys have no way of knowing if their problem is caused by their neurodivergence or lack of looks. So many will default to looks and looksmaxxing because it is at least observable in the mirror. Also, no chick is going to tell them “You look fine; you’re just a little ‘off’”

I politely disagree with the idea that having a strong preference for a virgin automatically means you're coping or have mental issues, but It can certainly be the case with many men (Heck, a lot of members here clearly have mental issues regardless of their preferences). A man can be successful with women and still have preferences regarding a woman's sexual history. Whether that preference is important (and how important it Is) to him is ultimately a personal matter.
