Hence why it pivoted to the red & black pill lol because doom and gloom sells and it's easy to tell a guy to lookmax vs get game.
To be fair, I don't think mainstream mansosphere are emphasizing looksmaxxing. It's more about getting one's life in order, having a healthy lifestyle and developing proper social skills.

As for the black pill people, they're ****ed no matter what, whether old or new advice. Their problem goes way deeper, most of whom are neurodivergent and nothing will likely work for them.

but also most women these days have some sort of mental problem. Same with guys

This is something that is missed and very important for seduction through whatever lenses you are looking at it

Gymmaxxing is looksmaxxing. They aren't as extreme as going to get surgery, but it does promote looksmaxxing to a degree.

^ Maybe there are different interpretations of looksmaxxing.

IMO, going to the gym and looking one's best is not looksmaxxing. That's just commonsense before the concept looksmaxxing was even invented by the black pill losers.

Looksmaxxing is going extreme like surgery, wearing make up, dressing up ridiculously and/or spending over 30 minutes per day on hair.

If I were back into my 20s, I'd go the gym so that I have some muscle tone (not interested in having a body building body). For hair, I'll cut it so all I'd need is 3 minutes to blow dry. Then wear a slightly-faded graphics t-shirt and jeans.

I don't think all this is "looksmaxxing".

Come on man...... unless you are in an archaic culture like in the middle east or a high school kid, you are not going to sleep with a virgin, unless she is the literally below the bottom of the barrel. And IF you actually find a virgin above 20, there will be no fvcking before marriage.
Bit of an extreme there. Saying that this has been your experience, or even the experience of most posters here, would be more accurate. But I get what you're saying.
There are too many variables involved: age, location, socioeconomic circles, family circumstances, social circles, and plain dumb luck, among others. The probability for someone around BadBoy's age/location (or older) may be very low. He could do everything right and still have a very difficult time finding a virgin, let alone attracting one.
And that's not even taking into account that someone's sexual history isn't always something you can reliably determine from what they tell you, that's a whole other wrinkle.

this virginity obsession , especially in this global culture, is a cope to blame the exterior rather than for guys to look within and be accountable that whatever their circumstances is mainly about them and not the world
If it's coming from men who aren't successful with women, then yes, I can see how it could be a form of cope. But that argument can work both ways. A similar argument could be made about men who have never pulled a virgin, or who did so when they were younger but weren't able to maintain the relationship.
Ultimately, though, a lot of men simply don't want a virgin, and that's perfectly fine. Different men have different preferences and experiences.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

In all fairness, the neurodivergent guys have no way of knowing if their problem is caused by their neurodivergence or lack of looks. So many will default to looks and looksmaxxing because it is at least observable in the mirror. Also, no chick is going to tell them “You look fine; you’re just a little ‘off’”

Manosphere / red pill recommends broad improvements over many areas of life, which is great. But it could also be seen as “I still don’t know why women don’t like me, so I’m going to throw everything against the wall (fitness, money, status, social skills) and hope something sticks.”

Gymmaxxing is looksmaxxing. They aren't as extreme as going to get surgery, but it does promote looksmaxxing to a degree.

I would argue that there are also people that go to the gym to get more speed/strength for their respective sports. Like a sprinter or people that play ball games more seriously.

The definition of looksmaxxing you sugest is too broad, one could argue anything that once used to be called "self improvement" is now "looksmaxxing". Leading an excellent lifestyle will show in your appearance one way or the other.

I don't see why anyone would associate looksmaxxing with physical training. Wasn't lookmaxxing about shortcuts like taking steroids? Or getting surgery done for a better jawline instead of first attempting an optimized diet?

I say training hard 3-6 times a week while working a job surely is not a shortcut in life.

I never encountered a guy whom was obsessed with virgins and was successful with women. Or at least decentish with women

because if you are at least decentish with women you realize that it is not about it the woman is a virgin or not , but more about other aspects

being obsessed with virginity is more about coping / having mental issues rather than anything else, because virginity is not an important thing in the grand scheme of things

I politely disagree with the idea that having a strong preference for a virgin automatically means you're coping or have mental issues, but It can certainly be the case with many men (Heck, a lot of members here clearly have mental issues regardless of their preferences). A man can be successful with women and still have preferences regarding a woman's sexual history. Whether that preference is important (and how important it Is) to him is ultimately a personal matter.

I agree that virginity isn't the only factor when choosing a partner. Compatibility, personality, attraction, values, etc. obviously matter too. But that doesn't mean virginity has to be completely irrelevant to everyone in all circumstances

Thank you for your reply. I have said my piece and have nothing further to disscuss with you regarding this particular matter so I will stop replying to you before we start going in circles.

You didn't responded previously, and that was a wise decision.
My lack of response was in your best interest.

And now you cowardly qoute a small part of my post ,taking the message out of context.
Your message continues to be; use money as leverage (whether for self-confidence, or chick-magnetism) to get women.

That is the context.

Terrible context, and concept.

I understand that when you go through life like a low value boy/ man-child that you get triggered when real men thalk about grown man shyte.
This guy^.

  .

I know, you rather have men roaming the streets like a jester, begging women for p00sy. Because thats literally your life and all you know!

Party like its 1999!!!

Nah, that doesn't sound like me, pimp.

And on top of that also overweight women who are older than 50 sometimes 60 ( facts!!!!!).
Yeah, and I also deal with slim women who are younger than 50, sometimes 30.

Next..

Im trying to teach men that they only have 24 hours per day and that every hour needs to be spent wisely.
Please, oh wise one, share with us a breakdown of how we should spend every hour of our 24-hour day.

We're so lost without your knowledge, wisdom, and insight.

Do share.

The more I understand women, life and money the more I'll advocate for money over p00sy.
Yeah, but the problem with that dumbass logic is; those two things (money/puzzy) aren't mutually exclusive.

Not to mention the fact that, again, money shouldn't be even be considered in one's quest to get women.

But it is for you apparently.

Mr. "I lead with my wallet".

Even Biggi told you so back in 1995( feck b1tches ,get money).
And Mike Jones told you back in 2005..

"Back then, they didn't want me. Now I'm hot, they all on me".

Gold diggers, and attention wh0res who don't give a fuk about you without your money or status.

Let me repeat what I responded to because you're a slow learner: ( orginal qoute)The big difference is the time required. You can learn “game” in a few months. Improving money/status can take years. The modern gurus need to be honest about how long it actually takes

Aww shiit, man. Thanks for schooling me.

Because at first, I thought that learning game takes years, and improving money/status takes months.

But after I learned from you, I found out that it's actually the opposite.

Thanks, bro.

Every time I read your posts, I learn something.

So let's both stay in our lane; you stay in your lane where you spam approach (old) women all day every day, I stay in my lane where I grind 14 hours per day while building a solid bizz while sleeping with women whenever I feel like its convenient.

Sayonara
I'll definitely stay in my lane..but whenever I catch you on here saying dumb shiit that is counterproductive to men's growth, I'll get my red ink pen out and make the proper correction(s).

we would not go in circles if you would not beat it around the bush on why someone would care if a woman is a virgin or not

especially during these times, where most likely in any culture that exists you would not find a true virgin after 21

The gym is not a prerequisite for success with women, nor is it essential for success in most areas outside of athletics or competitive sports. Plenty of men never set foot in a gym and still manage to have healthy, active sex lives and successful relationships with women. The idea that going to the gym is essential to male success is largely amplified by the Manosphere, which promotes gym culture as a core pillar of male self-improvement, attractiveness, and status. If you are going to the gym to improve your smv then you are looksmaxxing.

Honestly, if you are not a naturally 8/10 handsome-looking guy and also not athletic or rich, but still have massive success with women ... I'm genuinely impressed.

My take as a complete newbie is it's 70% new-age advice and 30% old-age advice to have success. But you can't succeed if you severely lack in either.

Surely you have been working out yourself one way or the other, even if you say this? You must be aware of how there are different types of gyms. There is training on machines for mainly looks(maxing), and then there is training like, let's say, calisthenics or Hyrox for longevity and ability. The difference is huge.

What about basketball and football/soccer players? Are they also lookmaxing? To throw everything under "looksmaxing" seems silly and defeats the point of the word.

@characternote

I know you studied all this for years.
But you seem hung up on the marketing claims in the boom years, and the Yes vs No girl thing.

Re RSD Julien
From studying his infields ,
- do you think he got good at picking up chicks in nightlife?

- do you think was it anything to do with learned behaviours in approaching?
Ie His persona, attitude, what he said, how he said it

vs how he used to be , before he practiced “Game” ideas (I’ll guess introverted , anxious, nerdy and had nothing to say)

if the answer is Yes , isn’t that a success for a guy?
Same story with Neil Strauss.

idk - I’ll take the old school, I don’t see anything in the new school, especially infields of Chad looking guys having basic convos.
What’s to learn?

who are the big names of the new school btw
Last I watched were Casey Zander and Joseph Smith.

from my point of view I think the issue is the people whom preach whatever, as they tend to become toxic when you don’t go fully with whatever they say

Most old age advice in seduction is considered old fashion and useless these days.
Old age advice = The years after Mystery Method became popular.
This advice was most useful pre-Recession & pre-Covid.
(...)
The problem with the seduction community is older people still giving out old age advice, which is outdated & irrelevant these days.
If think about and examine the information you are reading, most of the New Age advice counters almost all of the Old Age advice.
I don't know what is the "New Age" advice - Red Pill? Looksmaxing? Or something else?

I've found PUA community in I think 2000 (or maybe 2001) and I know a lot about it. I've met some well known names like Tyler, Papa, Julien and others in real life.

PUA community was always full of LIES and LIARS. Many people there enjoyed posing as some kind of "master seducers", pretending they have some kind of elite skills, that they're getting huge sucess with very hot women... While in reality, they were kind of normal guys who were doing mass approaching and were sometimes (rarely) getting laid with mostly women from the 4-7 range.

The "Old Age" advice was always working much worse than advertised. Lots of people tried their hand at PUA and failed, had very poor results. And of course the "looks don't matter" propaganda was always insane nonsense.

So if somebody finds that old PUA advice doesn't work for him, it's not necessarily because the society has changed - many PUAs in 2000s also had very poor results. (Even though it was indeed easier back then.)

Old age advice was essentially selling the idea that her attraction is entirely in your control. If one is ever rejected by a girl it just means (and only means) your 'game' wasn't good enough. If you are 75 and obese and the stunning little 19 year old girl rejects you, it's a 'game' issue. Not a looks or age issue or whatever. That would be called a 'limiting belief'.
YES!

And that was INSANE.

It was always a load of nonsense tbh, but it wasn't until youtube came along, amongst other things, where sharp eyes were slowly able to see that the coaches themselves couldn't achieve this miracle.
1. Yes - coaches themselves couldn't do the supposed "miracles" they were describing (really: which they were lying about). Some of them had good results with women, but they were physically attractive. While others had mediocre results or even sucked hard with women.

2. I'd be careful with Youtube and generally with video infields - coaches can film fake, staged infields with hired women. Famously, Tom Torero got caught for hiring an aspiring, low-level actress for a supposed "infield". But some other coaches are also known for doing that.

Also, some do fake real life seduction presentations. They organise a meeting, "free lecture" for local PUA guys.... Then propose they all go to a club. And they send hired woman or women, silenced by NDA with threat of heavy financial penalties, inside the club. The coach approches the hired girl and supposedly "seduces her" - while the local PUA guys watch it wide-eyed and think the guy is a genuine master seducer. Later the local PUA guys pay for his workshops - because they want to learn from a "true master" - and the money paid for the hired woman or women returns to the coach with big surplus.

Out of maybe 10,000 infields that have been released, we've basically never seen a pull on a hard 'no girl', despite the fact that for the original PUA model to be true, we should have thousands of them! We should have endless infields...thousands(!) where some very ugly, old guy approaches a 10/10 stunner who ignores him and tells her she has a BF. He says 'how long have you had that problem?!' or 'I've got a gold fish....sorry, I thought we were talking about things that didn't matter' or one of many cheesy PUA lines, then negged her etc etc, and then she starts trying to seduce HIM due to her insane attraction levels lol.
EXACTLY! And we don't see it because that doesn't work like that, it doesn't happen.

And re RSD - Strauss already mentioned Tyler was a snake in his book. They became the biggest player in that market.
Hi there! :) Check your email (not private messages on forum - email)

You know this already, but I've met Tyler and seen him in action - he sucked HARD, he seemed delusional and retarded. He got strong rejections, in the vibe of "go lost retard!", but acted like he somehow thinks it's great game.

Tyler and Papa are some of the worst, most disguisting people I have ever met.

to me. reading The Game and Mystery Method originally, and some other stuff of that time, it was all tactics and techniques that bolted together to convey a certain personality, and importantly in that. some kind of *Status* , and high confidence.
Status being conveyed through attitudes, verbal stuff, body language and some psychological head games.

this was key stuff to me back then that I hadn’t figured out.
Chicks do read /feel out for status, especially in busy nightlife.

Chicks in bars and clubs can be b1tches and full of attitude , it was learning how to handle that and try turn it around basically to me.

sometimes getting ONS in bars and clubs is just hanging in there and maintaining that persona until the end of the night.

and for me , I definitely pulled chicks of a type I would not have, after absorbing those ideas and practicing them.
There is some value in the PUA stuff. Despite all the lies and all the nonsense, people from that community did thousands of approaches - collectively I guess millions of approaches. And there is some insight from practical experience, some real knowledge in the PUA community - unfortunately, it's mixed with lies and marketing. And it certainly doesn't work as well as advertised.

Myself, I have benefited A LOT from finding the PUA community - first of all I learned to approach!!! And my mind had contact with different concepts, ideas about women I wouldn't think of before...

But I also suffered because of PUA community - that is my results with women have suffered when I was trying to implement their methods. I do much better when I'm normally talking with women.

BTW After all the experience I've got, I think Gunwitch is the best "seduction guru" - I didn't like him initially, but after many years I've realised that what I'm seeing in real life matches what he was saying long ago.

what’s his take?

I remember saw him on a different forum and I was not really that impressed about what he was preaching, but again maybe I was missing a lot of his insights because of how he was presenting them

I'm currently doing the DJ Bootcamp from 2005, definitely old-age advice. I'm a complete beginner and couldn't agree more.

This guide consists of compiled posts of different people.

I have followed each religiously, and it became clear to me that not all "master" DJs are equal. Some "master" DJs are mere theorists.

Maybe it's because I'm from Germany and people are more reserved, or maybe times changed, but my hunch is this stuff never worked particularly well. Unless you're very handsome, but then, why even bother with this?

I don't know what is the "New Age" advice - Red Pill? Looksmaxing? Or something else?
My understanding is you do everything you can except what DJs and PUAs try to do (because it's supposed to be a waste of time). Like money, physique, social status, and especially health, as it reflects in your skin (youthfulness) and jawline (manliness). xyz-maxxing.

But I definitely wouldn't recommend anybody going on any forum about maxing anything. People there are lazy and only looking for the easy way, which doesn't exist, destroying themselves in the process. The only thing you hear is stuff like steroids for "free" gains, plastic surgery, and "healthy" supplements.

I can live with the nickname "Mr wallet". Cause my wallet is indeed Chad tier.

It takes an extremely goofy man to say he cant learn ANYTHING from another man. Or I'd say; its takes an extremely ig'nant scientist to 100% dismiss another scientist's findings.

You stay on the corner of the building chasing p00sy and harassing mediocre women, while I look down on you through the blinds while I close business deals.

Like Rapper Fabulous once said in his smash hit Breathe: "You know what , you right"

EXACTLY! And we don't see it because that doesn't work like that, it doesn't happen.

I still reckon Mystery had all the useful ideas, and everyone else who came after basically ripped him off and started a business from his ideas.
Afaics , Erik was quite good at pickup and seduction and pulled sexy chicks (in his heyday).

And had a good insights of bars and club environments and social behaviour from his experience as a magic performer. Strauss got results from hanging with him and copying his method.
imo, if there’s any proof that MM ideas are ‘learnable’ it’s Neil Strauss. Being a geek and short.

Mystery was an egomaniac / rock star celeb wannabe he wasn’t in it to scam imo. He made his money from the TV show.

I went out and practiced that stuff (as laid out in Strauss book ) and also got results/lays with sexier ch1cks, so to me, it worked. Definitely.

I studied all the rest later, but a lot of that just tied my head in a knot , like the RSD stuff. As it was designed to do that.. and keep dudes spinning in circles and buying more products.that was a mix of self help, NLP, hypnosis and other crapola.
All the RSD guys were trained hypnotists I realised later ,(after getting into that for a while) and there’s tons of it in their products. They were hypnotising the viewer.
Julien did seem to be the most successful of that bunch afaics. He was a bit different tho how he did it.

Gunwitchs stuff was pretty good, a lot of masculine polarity stuff if I remember. He used to be a bouncer so that’s a ‘credential’ for me.

Some other old school guys like Brent Smith, Rick H and Zan had some good c0cky stuff/ inner game stuff (the early years) I still rate Brent Smith , rock solid mindset.
