I don't see women changing mating behaviors yet due to all the white collar layoffs.

You either don't see it because you haven't really done your research on this topic or you do not understand. When things are good everyone is riding high of the hog but when you apply pressure, that's when you will people's true nature. The last 75 years have been great for America overall, however, the hog has been cut. Once again, when you see this happening, don't be surprised nor shocked. The same women crying about 6 foot this, 6 figure that well be just happy if you have your own place and a nice bowl of soup.

They have been dwindling for a long time...with average testosterone levels for 22 year old males barely above 400 now, the equivalent of what an average 70 year old man had in the 1960s, sadly this will only continue getting worse, not better until they address the actual problem and underlying cause.

The truth is, the men who are “checking out” were never seen as valuable enough for women to seek commitment from in the first place; they were invisible then, and they still are. “Checking out” is just a coping mechanism.

They’re likely still in the dating game, just passively engaging while holding out for what they see as a better or more effortless connection. My point to @FlexpertHamilton was that the men who have truly left the dating scene aren’t the ones being missed here and their absence isn’t what she’s grieving.

Why would these men suddenly stop dating altogether after being with her, as if she was the breaking point? More likely, they simply weren’t moved enough to commit, so they pulled back, not out of the game, but away from her.
