If I think about the thing that would most help us grow as men and be of help to us in our lives, it's a "real" group of people.

Come to this video; there are many online communities that want to help men be "men" in the truest sense.
It would be interesting to discuss here the real communities you've found of men you've tried, which are solid groups, and which you can define as truly healthy and excellent for helping you surround yourself with real men who help you succeed in life.

I find mma groups, or taking something as simple as morning cycling can help strengthen the bonding process. Lol Did you know in India men who are great friends hold hands in the street, as a sign of masculine friendship and gesture. It’s not seen as gay.

I was in a group of men at church about 15 years ago that was around overcoming personal obstacles and how or when faith began to play a role in the process. Some great connections were made that persist to this day. I can call any of them at any time regardless of how long it’s been and ask for anything. I took leadership positions in it at a young age. I was one of a handful of guys under the age 40. I would recommend.

Clearly a cultural thing. Like it isn't gay for guys to hug here - as long as it's a manly hug, with maybe a good slap or two on the shoulder.

If you’re a little bit on the religious, Conservative side, may I suggest The Christ is King forum which are the members of Roosh’s old forum which he deleted. If you’re a little bit on the lefty, liberal side I recommend ‘ The Hip forums’ which consists of hipsters like myself who talk about a vast array of topics.
