Simply judging by the way you write I can tell you are nerdy and over-analyze situations...gotta quit that. Be the man you would f*** if you were a hot girl.
Care less about people's opinions of you...have fun without trying to get the girl or get laid (trust me this one is difficult)...and start going to the gym and compete against yourself, not anybody else.
I agree with what DanZy said on this one. While blunt, I feel like you're the type that would argue my points if I said anything more so: stop being a p****.
This struck me.
I have been called many things; ugly, handsome, intelligent, stupid, charismatic, boring, a ladies man, a loser, an *******, too nice, sporty, uncoordinated, funny, unamusing, charming, rude open minded, closed minded, confident, shy and more. However in my 17 year history on this planet I have been called neither nerdy nor cool. I guess that means there's only one place left to go.
I think you hit a bulls-eye there Lefty.
Unfortunately I will have to disagree with most of you, as I feel this matter is being over simplified. Just saying man the **** up does not help; in fact if I were to take it on a personal level it could be damaging. I have shamefully not been working on myself but instead contemplating life and if there is one thing I have learned in the recent weeks it is this:
The self-image is key and principally causes these experiences of "inferiority". Alex posted a short time ago that our concept of what others believe to be true about oneself is in fact the self-image. I came across countless parties supporting this whilst researching self-esteem. So my decidedly unoriginal opinion is that we believe others see us as weak and inferior so we behave weak and inferior which only results in them treating us as if it were true thereby reinforcing our affirmations of low self-respect. Inferiority is a self-perpetuating monster. Where my opinion differs from most of you is that this cycle is not easy to break. If you yourself have broken it than it seems ridiculous to intimidated by the mere presence of an "alpha" (although these so-called alphas I am talking about are 95% distinctly lacking in dominant traits, they are nonetheless superior on the social ladder) as that is the very nature of self-worth.
