"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

now that I got your attention.. the real title

Dealing with competitionand interest levels

Alright, I was never clear before about this situation.. heres the deal I met this girl lets call her L about 1 year ago through my friend, shes 17 and she lives in another town, I was instantly attracted to her physically, my friend lets call him B told her how I was awesome at "advice" so it started pretty bad, I got her on msn and she asked me for advice on this 1 guy, I went AFC so badly on her.. I told her I liked her, that woulda instantly put me intofriend zone, however I escaped it, things went good, her interest in me just kept growin we made plans to see eachother again this summer, possibly my first sex... :p Id hope, anyways recently we had a few fights about how it wasnt gonna workout, etc.. (btw I still game girls that actually live here but the one I got the best connection withis this girl.. ) well it had a rollercoaster effect for her she was pretty downabout it.. thats when I messed up cause it did affect me too and I acted like a complete AFC kissing up to her after those "fights" I could sense her interest level fall.. now this kid shows up, 1 year younger than her and starts hitting on her, he acts pretty afc.. thing is this guy can actually be there with her so I cant compete with him.. also her interest levels on me are pretty low now so she might actually go for this afc.. and I cant compete vs him I was REALLY lookin up for this summer with her specially cause of the connection.. funny enough my interest for her is dropping too

should I give it a break? should I ignore? should I try to fix it?

I wanna know if interest can grow back up in both her and me.. I really wanted the wild sex summer to happen :p I wanna know about you guys whove had experience being on and off with girls, also I NEED to learn to balance how Ishow attraction and how I tease her cause sometimes I gotooafc showing attraction or too ashole on the teasing

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

i'm no expert, but seems you still want her. so go for it, just use C+F and the usual stuff - stop the AFC. if you want the 'wild sex' then its atleast worth a try? you either get it or not.

atleast if you try to talk to her, you're more likely to get it.

i think some quote i read here, which relates to this is: you miss 100% of all chances you don't take

so take the chance and talk to her.

I didn't read your post (too long) but I would say your only option is to go gay. Once your azz takes cack you'll never go back.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
