give a response she wouldn't expect, rather than an awkward "alright" or "whatever you say" respond with "that's alright I'll get you soon," it's unexpected and completely different from what a typical response would be. furthermore it'll get her to at least giggle or smile, and put her out of what is likely an equally strange moment for her.

hell you could even respond like you would on a direct "can i kiss you" and say "i didn't say i actually wanted it." Of course in both cases be sure to say it in a playful way, a dead monotone response is no good here.
