You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Interesting ... I think I have a female friend who may be doing the same thing to me. We have known each other for years, and have both been attracted to each other at the wrong times. She has recently came out of a relationship, and I invited her twice out to movie or show premieres (One of the the perks of my job) but each time, she said she would call me to let me know if she could make it, but has not called me either time. Still trying to work out whether she is trying to ditch me, or whether she is playing hard to get ...Originally posted by BuckwildNYC
The funny thing is that when a girl really likes you you can do just about anything and she will still like you. I have two friends who are girls. I'm not attracted to them at all but they are in LOVE with me. I'm usually pretty nice to them but I abuse them so they don't get the wrong idea. It's funny cause I think it makes them want me more lol. I dont' return their calls or I'll bust their balls all day and it drives them crazy.
So the ignoring thing will definately work if you've already established some attraction from her. If she's not feeling you then you could probably either ignore her or kiss her ass all day and it won't make much of a difference.
