Work should be your number 1 priority now, don't try to initiate anything with her and if she speaks to you, keep it courteous and professional.

Continue working unphased by it. Be polite and professional but only talk to her if its work related.
After she gets it out of her system, she might or might not talk to you. It's beyond your control.
Her not talking to you or being short with you is silly game of chicken. Don't back down and TRY to befriend her. That's rewarding bad behavior.
If she finally starts being friendly to you, you can be a bit more friendly back but you must keep it professional.
Don't say a WORD about this to other coworkers eg "What's up with Kate? Is she mad at me?" That would get back to her and let her know she's affecting you with her moods.
