To be honest with you. No one can "help" you be funny. Being funny comes straight from originality. The more original you are usually the better the joke.

I can give you a couple of tips:

. Talk about things that people do that are just stupid
. Talk about Politics

For example.

Near my house we have many businesses. But, the business that stands out is 7-11.

Joke

" *in the car* why are there two 7-11s with-in 3 blocks of each other!!!! are they in competition with themselves? or, is this small 7-11 with only OOOONNNNNEEEE pump some front for a crack-heads crack house?"
