What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Why does it seem like every one of these PUA guru types comes off like some kind of slimy tool?
I tend to agree with this. Either approach can work, this way just makes everything happen easier IMO.

That isn't going to get you laid tho as you already found out if all you are willing to do is talk to them. You still have to get sexual and escalate.
A guy who doesn't know how to talk to women that well but gets sexual and escalates will get laid far more often than a guy who knows how to talk to women but doesn't get sexual or escalate.

This is undoubtedly true, although I question the need to lead with the sexual stuff. Depends on the context and the situation, IMO. Obviously if you are at a party with drinking looking to hookup with some strange chick that night, you might want to lead with the sexual stuff. In a somewhat more formal social setting, maybe not.
I also wonder about the kind of girl who responds to a guy who immediately goes to the sexual material. Such a girl might be more the slvtty type, although I guess that is the type of girl that a typical PUA wants to target.
