"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Guess I'm not mature

... The Simpsons are my favorite show and I rush home after work to catch it. It's hilarious ... and yes, Family Guy is a hoot, too.

C'mon JC, lighten up!

Quagmire: Hello, and welcome to another edition of Midnight Q. Tonight we're gonna enjoy some jazz from Charles Mingus. Norman Maylor's here to read an excerpt from his latest work. And we also have a girl from Omaha hiding a banana. We're gonna find out where. Giggity giggity. Giggity goo. Stick around.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Today's 'tunes

Today's cartoons are pretty funny. I think "Family Guy", "King of the Hill", and "The Simpsons" are perhaps the three best shows on TV. One of my best friends said it's a sad day for TV when the characters in "King of The Hill" and "The Simpsons" are more developed than any other TV shows with live characters. So true. I like "Law & Order" but really ... there is hardly any character development.

"Family Guy" is a hoot and "The Simpsons" are my favorite. I've just started getting into "King of the Hill" after ignoring it for many years.

* Simpson's has great takes on women loving bad boys ... they rip the sh-t out of it. Bart falls in love with his teenage babysitter, whose boyfriend is punk Jimbo Jones. Bart: "What do you see in this guy? He's just a good-looking rebel who plays by his own rules." .... The babysitter and Lisa let out big sighs.

Another episode, Bart is falling for the mean preacher's daughter. Daughter: "You're BAD Bart Simpson, real BAD."

Bart: "I'm bad to the bone baby."

Hilarious!

Quagmire quotes:

"in the 80's i was always in bed by 8 .......... and home by 11! Oh!"

Quagmire: Hey there, sweetie. How old are you?
Connie Demiecko: Sixteen.
Quagmire: Eighteen? You're first.
Connie: Mooom!!
Quagmire: I like where this is going. Giggity, giggity, gigg-i-ty.

You could ***** yourself out to 1000 fat chicks for 50 bucks a piece. Or 50 really fat chicks for 1000 bucks a piece. Fat chicks need love too-- but they have to pay.

Quagmire: Lois, will you go out with me?
Lois: Well... sure. It'd be safer to go out with you than some sex pervert.
Quagmire: Alright I'm in!!! Giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy giggidy!!!!!

[after seeing girl all tied up in a bathroom stall]
Dear diary, ...JACKPOT!

"Here's to the drunken clam (a bar), where they don't ask for proof of age and neither do I"

(After having sex)
Social Service Woman: Glen, honey, I have a question for you. What do you do for a living?

Quagmire (in a lesbian bar) So... any of you ladies ever been penetrated?

You have to be this beautiful to ride the Quagmire!

Peter: I'm gonna go microwave a bagel and have sex with it.
Quagmire: Butter's in the fridge!

The best Quagmire quote I've heard thus far is:

Lois (off camera) - "Say how much you love to eat the red carpet!"

Quagmire ( Walking on the sidewalk, eavesdropping, Then falls on his back ) - "Giggity giggity giggity giggity giggity . . .
