Fort Lauderdale recommendations?

Birthday coming up at the end of the month.

Went to check out Arizona last December, have been to Miami and other parts of Florida a few times, and wanted to see what Fort Lauderdale is like.

I've got a buddy who lives down there and travels for work a lot, said I could use his place. He may or may not be around when I'm there to visit, so if he isn't, I'd appreciate some recommendations in terms of nightlife.

In Miami ghetto is far away from the beach, past I-95. In Ft. Lauderdale ghetto starts near US-1, some 2 miles away from the beach you got public housing, shootings, robberies and ****. So you will see a lot more blacks. A lot more crime. Police? Police hang out around sinagogues and jewish community centers. You won't see them too active at the beach, unless it's some sort of event.

Basically, it's a beach. But unlike Miami Beach, right next to the beach you have active and pretty well congested A1A. Less bars. But better, more accessible bars. No stupid service fee on top of mandatory and already calculated tips.

Try visiting The Elbo Room. You can get the vibe on youtube reviews.

Other than that, **** that place. All the live is in Miami Design District and Wynwood. Try North Miami Avenue around 42nd street and down. You should have seen girls there during Ultra Music Festival. Next year make it a must to buy ticket for that event and visit it.

The further up north you go the more jews and blacks you get. If Miami Beach is full of jews, just imagine what Delray Beach is like. Surprisingly you get blacks in West Palm Beach, I always imagined it to be rich town, but no, it's a ghetto. Wherever you have jews you have progressive trash, gay and woke garbage and blacks. Blacks seems to follow the jews.

My friend living there says he really enjoys the place, and he has a similar headspace as I do when it comes to being single and getting around with new women.

They've got the Pine Rocklands out in the Everglades, similar to the Pine Barrens in Jersey. Might be good for picking up hillbilly chicks or gators.

I've been there twice now, and both times it was super expensive to basically spend the entire night watching girls go straight to VIP sections, or have strippers try to sell me on a lap dance...

Try Ft Lauderdale. Then try Wynwood and Design District clubs. That's not Brickell or Miami Beach.

Tampa! Imagine driving from Miami to near Tampa to get your driver license! You leave at 5 in the morning, and come there at 9:30 am. In Miami, line to DMV begins day before, you have to wait all night to be able to get in. So instead you drive to Plant City, that's near Tampa, and do everything within an hour without any waiting. lol

Tampa and Ft. Myers areas are the best. Especially Tampa. You got college students there. Vibe is totally different.

I used to live there. St Pete has a decent beach, Fort DeSoto especially, but it is geriatric. If you want just a beach and no nightlife, go to Sarasota. If you want nightlife, it's ybor city in Tampa. Stay within a block of the main drag, as it quickly turns to ghetto.

You know...the more responses I read, the less I want to take a trip out there...

Yeah, I want to have a fun birthday somewhere other than Delaware, but I'm also looking at places I'd want to potentially move long-term. That's why I visited Arizona at the end of last year. But there doesn't seem to be a shared consensus on where I should go in Florida...

Everywhere sounds unsafe, or borders somewhere unsafe.

You own house, you paying property tax. You have to be highly accomplished geriatric to live in Florida. Old people sell and move out.

In the nice areas, maybe, but there's trailer parks and ghettos all over, especially Pinellas County. St Pete Beach is a separate municipality. As of the last census, median age was 62. Clearwater is the party beach where the Tampa college kids go. Ironically, the water is the least clear of any beach I ever went to.
