"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

After you kiss on the altar.

"...You may kiss the bride."
*kisses*
V: *leans in to whisper in ear* "I love you."

Yeah... I had to vote "never".

7 months in, after she'd already said it 200 times.

LOL you guys! We all know that it should be said as a deathbed confession. LOL

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Well, since I'm never going to be standing on an altar, never.

I'm probably never getting married, and if I did, it would be in Vegas... baby. ('Cuz the chick I'd marry wouldn't settle for anything less than a Vegas wedding, of course.)

So, in a Vegas wedding, I wouldn't whisper that mush. :nono: I'd whisper something more like "let's go get lucky little darlin'" in an Elvis voice. Followed by: "can we hit the roulette table and the way up to the room?"

Dare to dream.

When you understand what that word means to you and you know that you feel that way about someone.

The tricky part is knowing what that word means to you.

LOL!

And here I was always taught that you should always tell a woman "I love you" in a DEAD or almost FORGOTTEN language like MAYAN or ARAMAIC----you know, or ANY other language used in a movie directed by Mel Gibson...

I’m sure we’ve all had chicks say it to us after a week or something. I remember thinking, like WTF, “…do you realize I have not even changed my underwear the entire time I’ve known you”.

Any overused phrase essentially becomes meaningless. The only time WE should say it is only AFTER she says it and only one tenth of times she does.

Oh, yeah, for effect, never say it as an immediate response to her saying it, and, when you do say it, make it random, out of the blue, not just after you boned her.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Oh yea, to answer the question- ONLY after she says it to you, ONLY if you really feel it, the longer the better, and make sure you use it sparingly.

I don't let her expect it. Sometimes I'll say "Yeah, I'm a lovable sorta person", or "and who could blame you really?" in a funny way. Then once in a while I'll get all serious and say it back.

If you make it unexpected there is a higher addiction factor.

Look at the experiments with mice and the reward machine to see how it works.

I think George Costanza did it best when he yelled out "I love you" within the first minute of having sex in his office with the cleaning lady...

Good advice. She ended up saying it first. I will remember to use it sparingly.
