I've got a pair of busted ass glasses, chicks don't care. I carry a notepad, the chicks always want to see my secret notes. I've got bad writing, I use it as a **** test. I have a cheat sheet....two pages of A4 in a Word document, printed double-sided, fairly small font, arranged in three columns per page. Anything good I read anywhere, or something I come up with myself, I put it onto my cheat sheet.

Then I keep it in my pocket, and when I have spare time, I read through it. If you're learning from scratch like me, this stuff has to be internalised, not just memorised. It has to roll off your tongue. I also list body language tips and attitude helpers, too.

I understand that, but what embodies a PUA is to be pure in mind. You learn this through practice. You shouldn't need canned openers. It's just like Barry Bonds shouldn't need to use steroids to accomplish his goals.

With shows like The Pickup Artist, chicks are going to identify canned lines. It's highly debatable, but I think there's a good chance.

A true PUA (god I hate this ****ing term) constantly works on bettering himself by being a true conversationalist, not a robot who studies, and rips off openers that some dude named Mystery came up with. That's unoriginal and lame as hell.

Maybe it's just me, but I have no problem walking up to a chick and asking her if she saw that the sky was blue today. I don't need a tried and true "opener" , I find something I think will work, and throw it out there.

Practice makes perfect. I guess if you're totally incapable of addressing a HB10 with something natural and normal, use the "tried and true" techniques that guys like Mystery and Neil Strauss have came up with for you...

I do believe that some of the Openers are now off limits due to the show. Ones I saw being used are:
"Who Lies More"
"Floss"


However; in the show I also saw 6-7 guys bomb by just going up and talking. They bombed horrible!!!!!! It was sad. I know there are people on here that haven't had a problem talking to another person (HB or not) ever, but most of the people coming to this sight do have problems. Otherwise why would they be here?

I am very glad that you can go spike some HB's Interest and get the close and nail the follow-up, and from there it's your business, But, again, most of these guys can't.

To just come out and say openers are old and lame is an opinion that may make some of these guys think they don't need them. Than when they get the Ballz to approach they are going to Flop.

Say the average guy from the DJF goes up to (even a HB7) and opens with ..
"Hey did you see the sky was blue"
They are going to C + B and the girl is going to assume (50% her fault) that this guy is a loser that just came up to her and stated the obvious!

I keep seeing these posts that ignore PAI. I know you can cold approach and for the most part you will have to.

Don't you agree, that we owe it to the people on here that don't know, how to be successful at first so they don't get discouraged and wind up settling for some UG with 6 kids?

Even if you do everything right you are still going to get rejected. You have to except that. But Knowledge is Power! Learn all that you can. Weather you want to be a MPUA or a MDJ the knowledge only helps. IT is the wisdom (Field Time) that makes you what you want to be.

Some people are born great at something, but those that aren't can become masters at it with Knowledge, Wisdom, and mostly Experience.

Learn how to:

Believe in yourself (come armed with knowledge)
Be Confident (Experience, Experience, Experience)
Expand your skill (not every girl will go for the something)
Know what you want
Don't Go out to meet a girl (Go out to have fun if a girl is lucky enough to meet you than good for her)
Be approachable (even if you are doing the approach, don't block yourself by being uptight or weird. Honestly have fun!!)
DON'T OVER DO IT (Peacocking is meant to allow others to start a conversation, be exciting enough to be interesting not scary, etc.)


SO should you need "canned openers"... only if you need them. Simple you know if you can go out and start a rapport with people. And if you ask yourself "can I go out and talk to somebody and actually get their attention" and you answer yes, than don't use canned openers.

If you answered no than use the "canned openers" (what use a can opener :nono Try it out and eventually you won't need them. It does save some time to know what you are going to do before you get in there and C+B, but even using them will get you experience. There is a post in the bible that says you can not win or lose here. As long as you try you gain experience.


*Side Note: You have to know what you want to be able to get it. If you want to get quantity over quality you have to play the # game. Unless you believe in fate and magic that "ONE" isn't going to fall in your lap. There are billions of women out there and if you want that "ONE" you are going to do a lot of damn searching and qualifying. Either way you look at it you will be playing the # game. Just know what you want out of it, and don't make it about "A Girl" make it about yourself. Be Social, and Have Fun!

Good post. I think people here are in need of a lot more help than I initially thought. I just see a lot of guys here that are so twisted and confused. I hate to see them turn into some programmed robot that's not congruent with their self.

I guess if it takes canned openers to build rapport, and in turn build confidence, use them. Just don't rely on them to get you laid. You must exude natural confidence and real interest.

All solid points, but I think you're mistaking the goal (DJ or PUA) with the learning process.

If canned lines help some dudes to gain confidence and become smoother with their interactions, then they are a good thing. Even if someone becomes really adept at pick-up with canned lines, and they keep working, why stop using them? On the other hand, if someone migrates to natural game (and I think most of us will end up there) then that's equally valid too.

One thing is for sure though: just saying that natural game is better and canned lines are bogus is not going to turn a total AFC into a PUA overnight. There has to be a progression of acquired skills from clueless tadpole to uber-babe magnet somewhere in the process.

At the end of the day, the HB target knows none of this stuff is going on in your head, so it's all academic

That is the sad hard truth. We all need to start somewhere. Natural Style is going to come. As long as you try.

Nobody wants to become a robot, but on the other hand we don't want to be alone with the knowledge that we don't have to be. It would be nice to just install natural game from the start, but for the most part it is impossible.

What you said is very true! When just starting out none of these methods are going to be magic. In time they will be easier and more natural and will work better. They will help with confidence but you still have to have Real Interest like you said. Or it will come off fake and rehearsed.

The only way to have that Real Interest is to do it for you. If you want to talk to someone than it isn’t fake. You are doing what you want and you will be Really Interested.

I agree with both of you. I guess what bothers me is that I see a trend here. It seems like a lot of struggling guys want an overnight fix. Like if they start using canned lines, and read every PUA/DJ book, they'll magically become one.

Whereas they should understand that it's going to take time, and those are only minor things that help you get on the right mind track. Gaming women is like learning a sport. You won't step into the batters box able to hit Johan Santana, just as you won't walk up to that HB10, and take her home that night.

Use whatever works, but try not to rely on it. Better yourself day after day. You'll know when you become a natural. You'll hit a point and time, and it will just become second nature. If it takes a month or two of using pre-programmed stuff, fine, do it, but I encourage you to strive to better yourself and your game every day.
