Its a real bad feeling, probably one of the worst you can experience.....it will only become easier. U can have fun and experience your life then, and maybe one day you can see her again and try work things out.

I know a guy pretty well who, for the same reason as you, had to break up with his girlfriend. She went overseas to study also. 4 years later and after both had dated and had other boyfriends and girlfriends, they got back together. They are now married and have been very happy ever since.
Time will make it easier, and it will come in waves. Once u push through it, you will find it much easier to be happy again and live your life.
