Popeyes
Don Juan
Yea is it a good or bad thing if people have been hearing that you're "pimping" alot of girls.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
Thats all they said?Ripper said:Don't worry about it dude. My girlfriends tell me it's a good thing.
What do you mean exactly? Elaborate a bit...Popeyes said:Thats all they said?
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
No I just mean like thats not all they said is it? You didn't just ask them about it and they said "it's good", or did they say a bit more, like what goes through their mind when they hear that.Ripper said:What do you mean exactly? Elaborate a bit...
Not sure exactly what you mean by control the situation.Ice Cold said:If you have to ask, it means you don't control the situation and can't take advantage of it.
That's a bad thing.
Oh ok. Just to clear up any confusion if there is any, by 'girlfriends' I mean friends who are girls. They basically said that if a guy has lots of girls writing flirty messages on his wall (facebook) then it's quite clear he's popular and sought after. They (the girls) reckon you can tell quite a lot about someone from who posts on their wall. Also, as long as you're quite popular (and this is where guy friends come in) then you can get away with a lot of sh1t. If you're seen as some PUA or seducer (even if that's what you are!), a sort of lone wolf, then your behaviour is not so easily excused.Popeyes said:No I just mean like thats not all they said is it? Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
