Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

oh man...makes me wish that i can somehow go back in time and just fcukin kick myself in the fcukin balls for doing what Penkitten posted...Shezz said:BINGO
Don't listen to Penkitten, thats a sure fire way for friendzone.
Shiftkey has it right on the money. WAIT for her to ask you, then and then only can you be sure that she 100% Interested in you. Patience..
Sarge On...
Sorry Penkitten, you are nice and all, but being a girl means you have really no idea how to build attraction towards women. You have no experience in that regard.Rebound Material said:oh man...makes me wish that i can somehow go back in time and just fcukin kick myself in the fcukin balls for doing what Penkitten posted...
YES, thats a one way ticket to 0% attraction.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
Penkitten, how did you and Gio end up being exclusive?certain guys on this site, pick on me because i am a chick. it doesnt neccessarily mean the advise is bad.
we seemed to be exclusive from the start. of course neither of us actually said that in the very beginning. however, we did lots of talking before we met because the traveling distance was huge. we both worked and i have children so there really wasnt alot of time for us to be talking to other people at the same time. we just started taking turns visiting each other before we couldnt stand to be apart. we always knew we were a good match .Phyzzle said:Penkitten, how did you and Gio end up being exclusive?
Well hmmm....Why must you label it as "exclusive"? Just go with it,don't give it a name.
I've seen that happen when a couple has yet to step into the role of "official couple." You've seen it. She regularly leaves stuff at your place, she asks if you have an extra toothbrush, she leaves with a handful of your boxer briefs because she looks good in boy shorts. Hey, this sh1t happens!!!penkitten said:actually if the chick really has high interest in you, and you are together alot, she will feel a "need" to define the relationship and ask you something along the lines of "so what are we now, boyfriend and girlfriend or what"?
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
Best advice on here. It may be tempting to ask for her to stop dating other people. Don't do it.Shiftkey said:Wait for her to bring it up. If she never brings it up, don't worry about a label defining your relationship.
Ideally (assuming you want a GF) you should be dating multiple women until the one you want asks you to stop.
